We don't usually travel at Christmas time but our daughters thought we should visit Ireland. They knew it would be the 15th trip for my wife Glenda and I . We hit the highlights in Dub and I drove us out to the Christmas markets in Galway. Coming back to the Fitzwilliam for Christmas was an excellent choice as we enjoyed superb hospitality over Christmas and St. Stephen's day. We'll be back again.

The location of this property is close to Merrion Square. It’s 10min walk to Trinity College and Grafton Street and 20min walk to Temple Bar. There is an excellent Italian restaurant and also a tapas restaurant close by and a few decent pubs across the road.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. The accommodation was basic but the bed comfortable and the room spotlessly clean and you can't get anymore central in Dublin than Trinity College. Value for money 15/10. We stayed on the weekend Oasis were playing in Croke Park and it was brilliant value compared to other places. We would definitely stay again!!

Breakfast was great and happy that it was included in the price. The location was brilliant - in the midst of all the action of Temple Bar and easy walk to the major tourist attractions: Trinity College, Edinburgh Castle etc.

After a warm welcome, we were delighted by our large room and comfortable bed. Pre-arrival information to advise on car parking was excellent. Downstairs bar is gorgeous. Best point is the location as very central and easy to walk to Trinity College plus many famous pubs and bars. Only time we used an Uber was for the Guinness tour.

What guests said about Trinity College:

  • There is so much to see and do.

There is so much to see and do. In the two days we were there we walked for miles! We also got on the tour bus which was €19 and was great because you could just hop on and off at whatever sights you wanted to see more closely. Sights include the national museum of dublin, Guinness storehouse, croke park, Dublin zoo, Dublin wax museum, trinity college and even more!!
