Toilets were in disgusting condition, doors broken, walls like the romans just invaded and there was no toilet paper. There is more info about a local artist and his sculptures then the actual place that paid and travel to go and see. Oh and good luck to you if you cant communicate in Italian or French. Guided tours in English are scarse

    Fascinating history and ancient monuments.

Fascinating history and ancient monuments. The modern sculptures added to the experience. Signposting is limited. If you arrive on foot don't follow the Tickets signs into the coach park on the right. Tickets are available at the entrance on the left. Some areas were closed with no explanation.

The site is hot when you wander around. Parking can be an issue. We read about people asking for money even when you park at proper space but we were lucky to get parked near the entrance and paid with the mobile APP and did not have any issues. Maybe it is different when coming into the high season. (We went in May)

It is a very different type of park than you have probably seen. The Greeks used the existing large caves as a quarry for construction material. You can see both a Greek and Roman amphitheater. It is a very interesting park to visit.

One of the best place to experience Greek and Roman culture.

One of the best place to experience Greek and Roman culture. The theatre is still used. The huge altar (bull and other slaughter, for offerings) is, well, huge. You get a good idea of how things worked. It's a large site, quite a hike, and quite hot if it's summer.
