Miramare Castle
Castello di Miramare cuts a romantic figure atop the cliffs of the Gulf of Trieste. Nestled in 54 acres of flourishing gardens, the castle was first commissioned in the 1800s by Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian. Stripped during World War I, it has since been restored to decadent 19th-century glory, with the room layout and original furniture arranged just as Maximilian intended.

The lovely Michela was so warm and assisted in guiding me on where to visit and how to get there, all I might add is within walking distance (with the exception of Miramare Castle). It was so comfortable and I would highly recommend staying here. Beside the accommodation there is a gorgeous wine bar & restaurant, and minutes away from the seafront.
