The staff was very kind and friendly, and assisted us with booking dinner, tours etc. The hotel itself is really amazing, built inside caves and with fancy decoration. Breakfast was the best we had during our trip to Italy.

This is one of the most unique hotels we have ever stayed in - I would highly recommend Aquatio. You are within 5 minutes walking distance to pretty much anything in Matera and 2-3 minutes walk to the fabulous restaurant Francesca (we dined there twice it was so fantastic). We also used the spa to get a couples massage and my partner used the water therapies. The front desk staff were fantastic before and during our stay - they really helped us to arrange parking, the shuttle to and from the hotel to our parking spot and other requests we had like booking restaurants for us. A true concierge experience! You will thoroughly enjoy your stay. We will be back!

The location was perfect, as were the staff. The property is virtually brand new, being completed in 2022. The rooftop bar also is new and a special treat. Nothing was too much trouble for the attentive staff.. The breakfast was typical modern Italian. There are many excellent restaurants, trattorias etc within walking distance. Three nights is perfect to absorb the beauty of Matera. The nearby car park was ideal. Wifi coverage excellent.
