My favorite of all the museums. The building from the outside is not appealing, but once inside the Palace I was lost in the beauty of the rooms and the displayed art and artifacts. There is a lot here and you could spend 2 days if you want to see all the museums and the beautiful gardens. I would recommend visiting the Pitti Palace (Palazzo Pitti) for its exquisite art collections and stunning Renaissance architecture. Once the residence of the Medici family, the palace houses several museums, including the Palatine Gallery and the Gallery of Modern Art.
