We had a great stay here during our trip to Florence. The location is right in the center, which made it really easy to walk to all the main sights, but it was also surprisingly quiet at night which we really appreciated. The room was in perfect condition and very clean. The bed was especially comfortable, one the best we’ve slept in on any trip. You can tell a lot of care goes into maintaining the place. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. They took the time to show us the best places to visit, eat, and explore, which really helped us make the most of our stay. The building itself has a lot of charm and character, with a real sense of history. It added something special to the experience. All in all, a solid 10/10. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we’re in Florence.

I have experienced in stay on many hotels in different countries but this classic hotel is excellent. Almost everythings. For example, Yesterday, we needed to leave the hotel at early morning and we had not time to eat breakfast, They offer us a breakfast box for eating on the tour bus! Some days our rom cleaned twice a day!

This hotel is a jewel in the middle of busy Florence… over the years I’ve seen this family owned hotel become better and better! It’s right next to Ponte Vecchio the rooms are soundproofed and it was cozy and warm when the weather was chilly out there, yet it had air conditioning a rare thing in Florence!!! In addition drinking an Aperol Spritz on the terrace was a nice way to end our days after our tiring walks… just loved it… but it was their staff and their willingness to help what really caught me!!! Keep up the good work!

Hotel Davanzati is on a side street in the historic center of Florence. It is within walking distance to the train station and very close to the Piazza della Signoria, Uffizi Gallery, and Ponte Vecchio, and therefore, the Arno river. It is next to a palace with the same name and situated in a historic building. We enjoyed our stay considerably, the breakfast, and the free offers in the afternoon into the evening. The staff is superb and they can direct you to excellent restaurants that the locals frequent. We highly recommend this place to those who would like to stay in the very center.

Pitti Palace

Former home to the grand dukes of Tuscany, this Renaissance-styled gargantuan is a peephole into high society. Much of the residence remains in its original styling. Uncover how the 1% lived with a visit to their Royal Apartments. Or put on your history hat. The Carriage, Costume, and Silver museums will take you to school. Recess in Boboli Gardens with its grottos and green.

My favorite of all the museums.

My favorite of all the museums. The building from the outside is not appealing, but once inside the Palace I was lost in the beauty of the rooms and the displayed art and artifacts. There is a lot here and you could spend 2 days if you want to see all the museums and the beautiful gardens. Buy the multi-day pass here that covers multiple museums including the Uffizi.

You can easily spend a whole day here in the palace and gardens, (I spent 6 hours) if you enjoy art, so allow plenty of time. Also, only one place to buy food inside, so taking something to eat in the gardens with you is a good idea

I would recommend visiting the Pitti Palace (Palazzo Pitti) for its exquisite art collections and stunning Renaissance architecture. Once the residence of the Medici family, the palace houses several museums, including the Palatine Gallery and the Gallery of Modern Art. Don't miss the beautiful Boboli Gardens behind the palace, which offer a peaceful escape with stunning views of Florence.

Large and clean. Very central location, near the Vechio bridge and Pitti Palace. The apartment is on the top, 4th floor and has no elevator. It wasn't an issue for me but could be for some.

Wonderful apartment with fun decor and awesome view over the Florentine rooftops and a bit of the Pitti palace. Very clean! There is no elevator in the building, which wasn't an issue for me, but something to be aware of, since it's on the 4th floor. The host is very nice and accommodating!

This boutique property is amazing. We were surrounded in our room by 15th century frescos yet it was filled with all the modern conveniences. The property is perfectly situated across from Pitti Palace and just a short walk to Ponte Vecchio. But the real charms are the artisan shops off the beaten path behind the property and elsewhere in Florence. We truly enjoyed our visit and expect to be back soon.
