The location is first-rate; it is conveniently situated close to all historic sites. The room was immaculate and updated. We ate breakfast every day upstairs, and the choices were plentiful and excellent. The waitstaff were accommodating and friendly. The front desk staff were always professional. They helped me organize an excursion to Tuscany, made excellent dining suggestions, and general recommendations. I can’t wait to return!

Ponte Vecchio

Peruse the shops perched above the River Arno on this pedestrian bridge. Dating back to 972, its history is the stuff of storybooks. Ponte Vecchio’s seen it all from noble feuds to ruinous floods. Once a market where vendors sold meat, the smell of raw flesh tossed in the Arno disgusted the Medici dukes. Today’s retailers are much less carnivorous (they’re jewellers).

If you can take the special tour along the secret passage from the Uffizi to the Pitti Palace. The walkway is along the windows atop the Ponte Vecchio. If shopping for gold jewelry etc. along the Ponte Vecchio, be sure to shop around.

Ponte Vecchio is an amazing spot to buy jewelry from jewelers that have been in the business for centuries. The price of gold is standardized so not much point going from each place to ask about the price of gold, instead find a store that specializes in what you're looking for and has the style you like. Some places specialize in gems, others gold, others vintage pieces.

Go really early for great photos without crowds or sunset and night. Bellisimo. Be careful when walking over the bridge in the day as it gets very crowded and artists put their drawings on the ground and if you walk on it, you buy it!

You have to buy something from 18-karat gold here☺️! It’s not cheap but gold is tradition in Florence ( and leather). But be prepared that it’s only not crowded in the morning (when only few shops are open though).

Our hotel was adjacent to this attraction so we had a daily view of it. The photo shown by booking.com does not resemble what it looked like in December. The bridge itself is wall to wall jewellery shops. A good time to visit is before or after they close. The shop fronts change back to the original wooden frontage and makes for a good photo.

The apartment had a totally historic feel. Totally felt “Firenze”! Attractive and comfortable. Super clean. Loved the windows. Bedrooms and bathrooms were great. The 25 steps to come up and down became 2nd nature to us. And we are well into being senior citizens. Would highly recommend the Ponte Vecchio apartment.

The view is amazing. The apartment is very well appointed. Did I mention the view ? It is very well appointed and very nicely detailed. The sunsets views are beautiful. You’re also a short five minutes or less walk from the Ponte Vecchio, and the middle of everything. The staff was also very accommodating, and had great communication. Would def stay there again.

This is a spacious apartment with an amazing view of the Ponte Vecchio bridge. There is a tiny balcony you can open the door to let fresh air in and taken in the beautiful views of Florence. Thankfully the beds were very comfortable. Another bonus, was a garage is conveniently located just steps away if you have a car, be sure to make a reservation though.

One of the most beautiful stays I’ve ever had! The apartment is super modern, bright, and perfectly clean, everything looks and feels new. And the view… just breathtaking! Waking up to Ponte Vecchio right outside the window felt unreal, like living inside a painting. It made my Florence trip unforgettable. I can’t wait to come back!

Palazzo Bianchini is great! The location can’t be beat. Minutes on foot to the train station and many attractions such as the central market, the Duomo, Uffizi, Accademia and Ponte Vecchio. There are many great restaurants and bars literally right outside the property. The staff were super helpful. Saman, who lives on the property, was very attentive to any needs or questions we had. We stayed in the Leonardo apartment, which was perfect for a couple. The rooms are of ample size and the little kitchen was good to have.

The location is perfect, right by the Ponte Vecchio , but still in a side street , so you don’t walk right in the crowd once you step out of the hotel. It is close to all the major churches, castles etc. We were only there for 2 days but we got to enjoy the amazing art that is housed in Florence.

Great location; convenient distance to main attractions, yet a block or two away from the tourist crowds at Pitti Palace and Ponte Vecchio. Roomy apartment where both couples had enough privacy (separate bedrooms and bathrooms at opposite ends). Nice balcony overlooking a private garden. Foodstore and bakery within short walking distance.

It was an easy 15 minute walk across the canal to the main areas. But the area itself was beautiful, very close to piazzale michelangelo and ponte vecchio with lots of shops and restaurants around. The hotel staff was really lovely and it was easy to leave our belongings before and after check in so we could continue to explore without our luggage. Would definitely return for a stay here the next time I am in Florence.
