The building itself was a piece of art, and so fun to explore! Amazing room, staff and view over Beppu. For breakfast we had a delicious vegan curry for breakfast! The hotel lies nearby bus stops for easy access to the train station, or a day trip to Yufuin.

The hotel is located in a semi retired area from the street and noise, surrounded by a forest. The design is modern, stylish and somewhat mixes perfectly the Japanese identity and way of living. The staff is helpful and welcoming, which was very appreciated, they offered guides and advice to experience better the city and its services. The breakfast served in the morning, also not in a cafeteria, but in the room, is of great taste and quality. We were very pleased to have it to start the day before heading to spa and onsen around the city.

All staff were friendly and ready to help. The breakfast, freshly cooked, was delicious. The two ladies were so lovely. The location was great, remember not to come out where all the taxis are and it’s turn right 3-5 minutes. There’s an elevator, umbrellas and a delicious smell of hot, fresh coffee upon arrival.     Amazing hostel, especially for anime/Ghibli/pokemon enthusiasts ! Whenever you look on the wall, you spot a cool poster. It's very well located, close to the Hells of Beppu, the castle and the view point. Toshi, the host, is very kind and helpful 👍 Also, he has an amazing pokemon card collection if you want to buy some as a special souvenirs :) Thank you again Toshi 🙏

    Would I visit again? YES!!! Absolutely amazing experience. A small traditional hotel putting a lot of emphasis on detail and customers needs. Comfortable rooms, outstanding dinner menu w/ a variety of local food and impressive sashimi plate. Option to select different private Onsen/Sauna. Location is in walking distance to one of Beppu’s main attractions (Hells of Beppu), while at the same time in quite local neighbourhood. I would visit Beppu again to stay at this place.

    Nice and clean apartment with a private onsen. We had a beautiful view from our balcony. Excellent services, free parking and a friendly host. The "Hells of Beppu" is only a few minutes by car.

    Perfect location next to the train station. Bus station and bus stop to 7 Hells of Beppu is also in walking distance. Restaurants and shops/supermarket in walking distance. Onsen was very nice and clean. Breakfast fresh and tasty. Staff was very kind and professional. We used service of sending our luggage to the next hotel, which was very comfortable, reception managed everything for us, we could leave our luggage and pay fee directly at reception as well.

    The facility is located in the center of Beppu Hot Spring, very close to Hells of Beppu, good restaurants and everything. Loved the concept with three private onsens. It has been relaxing and fun. Exceptionally clean in the room, tea upon arrival. The owner has shown the kimonos of his grandmother that he has upcycled. Beautifully decorated traditional rooms. Relaxing onsens.

    The Amanek has an amazing location, only a few minutes walk from Beppu Station and surrounded by a myriad of dining options. The hotel is also perfect as its perfect to take the various Kamenoi Busines to the Hells of Beppu and even Yufuin. The public indoor and outdoor baths are lovely and very relaxing after sightseeing or to start the day.

    Stunning place in the heart of the old Beppu near the Hells of Beppu, incredible place built like a maze but in the coolest way, you can cook over the hot spring steams, the rooms are traditional Japanese style and extremely cozy with good views. Downstairs there's 2 public Onsen and a few streets over there is a private Onsen to enjoy too. The staff is incredibly nice too. Probably the coolest place I've ever stayed at.
