The service and care of the staff is outstanding, they were very polite nice and helpful and the dinner felt like an authentic Japanese meal with variation every night and a vast amount of dishes, you can always find enough things you like even if you are not into the Japanese style meals. The room was clean and big, spacious and well worth the money. The view and the atmosphere in and around the hotel is calm and quiet and there is a shrine right down the street. We loved it and we're very satisfied with our decision to book 3 nights here.

The hosts were just wonderful! They helped me out to get around and squize the most out of the experience; even though they do not speak English, they use a translator and were very patient with me, and willing to help. It is very near to various points of interes like shrines, temples and waterfalls, on walking distance. Kegon Falls are 20 min walk. There are activities in the lake like taking the ferry and little swan boats. It is an hour away by bus from the World Heritage area in Nikko and the last bus that will take you is around 6 pm, so take this in account for your plans. It's comfortable and has an amazing view of the lake and mountains, in this astonishing and remarkably beautiful place!!! I hope to come back sometime.
