Come here before going to Angkor Wat.
Come here before going to Angkor Wat. Everything is very nicely explained and will make your visit easier and more interesting. The museum requires 3-4 hours, nice displays , and it's airconditioned. The room with LITERALLY 1000 Buddhas is impressive. You will also be able to see close by all the wonderful carvings from the temple's roofs. Gift shop has nice handmade things, that are cheaper than in the city's markets. Lots of nice gift ideas. This is a very well presented museum that provides a chronological history of Cambodia's ancient past. I recommend you visit this museum before you visit the ancient temples as it makes the 'story' so much easier to understand.Guest review byTimAustralia
