The location is great -right next to the Palace and walkable distance to the riverfront. The rooms were spacious and bed was very comfortable. the toilet was well equipped and hot water was available. The breakfast spread was amazing and sumptuous - with great options for both veg and non-veg food. The staff was also very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Penh House. Wish we could have stayed for more time there !! Will definitely suggest this hotel for stay at Phnom Penh.

Everything about this hotel was exceptional. "Q" at the front desk was very helpful from check-in to check-out. All the staff were amazing, though. The beds were so comfortable I didn't want to get up in the morning, but of course, there is so much to see in Phnom Penh, you have to. The hotel's layout is wonderful, with private little courtyards and places to sit. The gardens give it a peaceful, oasis-like feeling. The pool area is fantastic. Not only is it a huge pool and very clean, but there are separate cabanas with their own steps into the pool. The pool bar will serve you anything from lattes to cold Tiger Beer. It was heavenly! We both had massages at the Senses Spa, and they were the best ones I've had on this trip. ( Been 4 months in SE Asia now, so I've had a few) The Sky Bar overlooks the Royal Palace and is a great place for Happy Hour. Outside the hotel, there are a few tuk-tuks that the Palace Gate authorizes. We were lucky to get Robert, #9.and used him whenever we needed a Tuk-Tuk. Not only was he a careful driver, but he was also able to find us things that we had been looking for and make suggestions for us. I would go back to Phnom Penh just to stay at this hotel again. It really was wonderful!

Was a very interesting place to visit.

Was a very interesting place to visit. I knew the basics of what happened here, so was curious to learn more about this significant part of history - learnt a lot, and found the stories and the entire site to be sad, emotional yet fascinating, all in one. My partner and I both shed quite a few tears during our visit, but wanted to pay our respects to those who lost their lives there.

They that cannot remember the past are destined to repeat it, so the bible says, I have never seen floor tiles that have been so badly stained by blood, its a must to see but it's not for everyone

This is heavy and hard to see!

This is heavy and hard to see! Hard to believe someone could treat another human the way these people were treated. Be ready to see heart breaking things. Be ready to hear heartbreaking stories! Have a fully charged camera. Bring water and wear sunscreen as it is very hot. Cover your shoulder s and knees. A dress is cooler than capris. Wear comfortable shoes as you walk so much. A neck fan or cooling cloth will help. Have Kleenex or a Krama to wipe tears and sweat. You will never forget this and the Killing Fields. So Sad.

Sad place to remind us the atrocity by a group of people who governed the country, however. We cannot change our pass history but we can tailor for our better future ensuring no second "Tuol Sleng" would ever exist again! Life must go on and together we can make a different.

Harrowing and really emotional to visit.

Harrowing and really emotional to visit. It is a reminder of what has happened in the past and how it must be remembered. The Cambodian people have a resilience that is so admirable. The fact that a high school was used to act as a prison is so horrifying. Use the audio guide as it gives you an insight of the stories and horrendous things that happened in that dark period. Do the museum before visiting the Killing Fields.

Be prepared for at least two hours if you want to do it right. Highly emotional and graphic, but necessary. Please consider purchasing books from two of the survivors…..it is their income source, from what I’ve read.
