The place is amazing! We had the room with a private heated pool and the view from there was perfect. The only thing that might be a problem is that the room didn't have air-conditioning, which can be a problem if it's too hot. The service is really top notch! The dinner menu is quite overpriced, the rest was just great!

Owner is very friendly and know what thaveler want. He gave very good recommendation on where to eat(the must go one and the fit our need one), where to see. Good location(quiet but walking distance to town center). Very good breakfast too.

First of all the stuff was very welcoming. Everything that we needed they provided us. The Manager/ the head of staff always asked if everything is ok and helped us with the rides to the city. The room that we got was WOW!! From the design to the view. We had everything that we needed, hot water, clean towels, clean sheets, water, air conditioner and fan. All the place have a very modern and aesthetic design. We had 2 breakfasts, the continental. They were very good and very satisfying. All staying was amazing, I will definitely recommend my friends and family to go there. I hope they will have a lot of bookings.

+ we had a wonderful time at Senu's place ! The room was very big , the bed super comfortable , everything was clean and we had warm water and good wifi . The view from the balcony is amazing with waterfall ,shortcut to center 7 min by foot following he tailroad , bottle of water wass always available in homestay . We saw so many nice animals . The breakfast was the best we had so far in Sri Lanka ! The family was very nice and friendly and helpful . We would definitely recommend staying here :)

Great views best to go to the bar above it some amazing views also easy to get train from Ella till the next station which goes over the bridge we managed to get photos & video hanging outside the door which looked unreal!!!

Beautiful, but long walk down and up if you are not 100% fit...

Beautiful, but long walk down and up if you are not 100% fit or a bit older. Tip - get a Tuk Tuk up from where the stairs stop. It’s a premium price but worth it. It’s muddy and slippery if it’s been raining, so don’t risk your ankles or knees.

The rickshaws shouldn’t charge more than 500rs one way. They stop at a point beyond which it’s a steep descent on stairs and some narrow but safe enough pathways that lead to the bridge. Therefore the walk back is also a steep incline. There are monkeys who mind their business. Or you can choose to walk the entirety of it. It took us 1 hour to go and come back with ampke breaks and a slow pace. My 60+ year old parents with above average to good fitness levels could do it.

Fairly strenuous walk down to the bridge, which in it's self is a wonderful feat of British engineering and Sri Lankan effort!. However, our anticipation was dampened by the sheer volume of other tourists on the bridge (at least 1000) all waiting and jostling for the best spot to get a photo of the anticipated train. There are far more beautiful and less touristy things to see and do in Sri Lanka than this.

For me 100/100.

For me 100/100. Beautiful bridge, fabulous views all around, the road to the viaduct itself leads through a fabulously green forest. Some trains stop on the viaduct, so there is time for a photo session:-))) It is also nice to have a coffee (or Ceylon TEA!!!) in one of the cafes by the viaduct, watching the trains passing by and the wonderful views of the area.

Best to go for early morning train times as there are less...

Best to go for early morning train times as there are less people. We went in the afternoon and it was still wonderful. You can walk around 3kms (quite steep though in parts) or you can take a tuk tuk for around 3000 LKR (and they wait for you to return to Ella).
