We stayed at the Arambhaya Boutique Hotel for two nights and had a wonderful stay. The room was very spacious with a lot of attention to detail, the hotel was very clean and modern, quiet with a beautiful garden. The hospitality, friendliness and service of the staff was outstanding and the best we ever experienced in a hotel.

What I enjoyed the most was the staff; they were incredibly friendly and flexible. I must say, it was truly a "wow" service! Although I didn't have the chance to meet the manager, the other staff members were excellent in their service. I've already decided that whenever I visit again, this is the place I want to stay. The food was delicious, and overall, I can confidently say it was one of my best stays.

Engineering Ingenuity and intellect mixed with the religion of the island from a distant past makes all around Kandy lake would Make Kandy one of the top rated places in Sri Lanka and indeed internationally to visit. It is the hill capital of Sri Lanka, the last kingdom to be colonies not by an invasion or military defeated but by a bribe by the British colonials. Gateaway to beautiful hill country.

This is the one of the nicest parts of Kandy to walk -...

This is the one of the nicest parts of Kandy to walk - however please take note Kandy Tourist association that the area surrounding the water of the lake needs cleaning regularly to ensure the wildlife continues to flourish. Please keep it clean either with paid employees or gather some volunteers to regularly get rid of the rubbish coming down the river into the lake and surrounding areas

The property is just 1.5 km from Kandy lake. The staff is amazing and helpful. Especially Mr. Chandikagihan is an amazing guy and guides nicely. They provide proper English breakfast and amazing Ceylon tea. It has good hostel vibes and has few indoor games like the Caroom board, chess and UNO cards. I would like to visit kandy again and stay in the same property. My son really enjoyed the stay. Thanks for providing wonderful hospitality

The biggest advantage of this small hotel is that it is close to the Temple of Tooth and Kandy Lake, which can be reached on foot. It's very close. Considering that the price of the hotel is very cheap, you can't have too many requirements for it. The rooms are basically clean and tidy, and the breakfast tastes ordinary. The staff are warm and considerate in service. The rest of the shortcomings can be completely ignored.

The hotel has great views of Kandy lake. The staff are friendly and professional, except for those in house keeping. For some reason they were aloof, non-responsive to requests, and didn’t perform their duties fully (eg not providing water bottles, not clearing the room of used plates, not changing towels etc). The food in the restaurant (breakfast and dinner) was good and the portions were generous. Oliver and Olivia in the Spa were excellent. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience.

Kingsman house was a real oasis of calm just a short walk from the Kandy lake and bustle of the city. We were treated so well by the staff at the hotel and loved sitting out on the balcony and playing cards, enjoying the view and the birdsong from the garden. The breakfasts were amongst the best we'd had in Sri Lanka too. All the furniture and decor is pristine and we thought our stay was great value.

Beautiful authentic rooms close to Kandy Lake. We spent just one night at Villa 49, our first night in Sri Lanka. We travelled as a family of four and stayed in a family room. We found it very good value for money, authentic and much more personable than a larger hotel. The decor was very sweet. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and found Shanani and all staff to be friendly and attentive. Shanani helped us arrange a day tour of Kandy by Tuk Tuk, visiting temples and the Botanical Gardens, and onward travel with a taxi to our next destination.
