By far the best hotel out of 7 that we stayed at during our 2 week trip to Sri Lanka. The staff were great, the hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the food is sublime and the driver who took us on safari was very acommodating and good at his job.

The staff were very attentive and offered a welcome drink when we arrived, and one more free drink after a safari. We asked about coffee in the morning and they served coffee at 4:30 for free. There are kind and contact dogs in the territory of the hotel. The territory is beautiful and you can see a big lake right next to the entrance to the hotel territory. In our room everything was clean and we didn't hear any noise all night.

Such a great place, the sweetest family and Randy has so much love for his community, the animals and his garden. We loved staying here, and hope we will be back someday. The rooms are huge, spacious, bright and new, and so is the bathroom. The garden is so cute and a great place to relax. Randy took us on a biking trip where we saw birds, animals, plants, trees and a stuba/tempel, he has so much knowledge and gives so much to his guests. Before we left we had a tour in their fruit garden, that was so interesting. Thank you so much Randy and family. You are the best.

I will give this a 10/10 out of how much the owner provided for me. The view outside is amazing, just in front of the lake. So peaceful! So the room was okay. But the best thing for me was that the owner provided me a free tour around the place, watching sunset, crocodiles, bats and owls. He also took me to the atm, supermarket, and picked me up from the bus when arriving. Everything for free. And I can also recommend going with the safari that he is providing. That guide was also amazing, experienced, and affordable.
