This is the best museum in Amsterdam.

This is the best museum in Amsterdam. So many different artifacts and paintings. This museum has got one of the most diverse range of exhibits for any museum, anywhere in the world. You'll need to spend and entire day to see everything in this museum, but a 4-hour visit will give you enough time to see all the most significant exhibits in this museum.

Pre-book your visit for the earliest time slot you can as the crowds really do build, especially around the land, mark exhibits. It is so vast that it really is worth planning your view-targets rather than just wandering. 2 to 3 hours and you will be zapped!

    Terrible.

Terrible. I must tell, that even the museum its follow-up survey does not work. However I am working in field of IT, and know all necessary tricks to filling out an online survey, my experiences is not enough. :( Our visit was terrible. Visiting this place was the only programm in Amsterdam, a bad surprize, to be referred as terrible. Against time periods, it was too much crowded. At the entrance individuals and group is without common sense shuffled. Staff is impolite, badly communicating. They disturbed as well our visit, becouse of my 3 liter backpack during our visit. Why? Why not at the entrance. But ther was no resolution, just disturbing attemptes to arrange somthing. I left them staying. I was working in visitor center of Hungarian Parliament. This was impossible. Direction posts is just a few and badly placed. Audioguide usage is missing many information: where to get, how to use, where to give back etc. So is an unnecessary garbage. Thinks worth having is collection and decriptions. Every additional circumstences to our visir was just disturbing or missing. Suggested to improve many components for making a visit memorable. This was just immemorable.

    Pace yourself!

Pace yourself! This is Amsterdam's version of the Louvre -- there's a lot to see. They have kind of a 'greatest hits' exhibition hall that is quite nice and navigable in one visit but if you want to see the other floors I'd suggest going a second day. After awhile it's more than you can absorb. They have a really nice restaurant in the lobby and a cute coffeeshop tucked in a back corner if you need a break halfway through.

There's a fantastic collection of ship models in the basement. Oh, and Rembrant and Vermeer, but lots of other great art. You could spend all day here. Buy timed tickets online, or walk straight in with a ticket from the museum shop out front. Same price.

    Absolutely gorgeous museum.

Absolutely gorgeous museum. Definitely get there at opening (9a) and get a museum map -- it's super helpful and the entire museum is laid out chronologically by floor, area, so it's easy to pick the areas/eras you're interested in. The cafe is a nice stop for a break/snack. Gift shop has nice, reasonably priced items.

A clean, comfortable hotel with 24-hour reception and a cafe-bar up to about 9 pm. It's a quirky place and distinctly green . I'm a carnivore but I enjoyed the varied veggie breakfast options (except vegan cheese - you have to draw the line somewhere). Staff friendly & helpful. I rather liked the unusual roof garden you get to see when walking from Tower B to Tower A, too. You can walk through the Vondelpark to get to the Rijksmuseum etc in 30-40 min, though watch out for the bikes during the rush hour.

Had a quiet room even though it was mixed hostel beds. All roommates were quiet. Hostel has a lot of stuff for sale if you need it, deodorant, snacks, etc. Cleaned well everyday. Location was really great too, near the tram and the area was pretty. Very close to Rijksmuseum.

Great location on a side street just off the Museumplein so just a short walk to the major museums, e.g. Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk, and also a large Albert Heijn grocery store -- apartment is huge by Amsterdam standards, and the building even has an elevator which is almost unheard of

It is located in the central of Amsterdam, close to Rijksmuseum and most importantly close to tram. The room was clean, and the bed was ok. We can keep our luggage at the hostel after checking out. Just make sure to bring the padlock to your bag since it was only kept in the storage room. Overall, it was a great experience.

I usually come here to the opera but there are plenty of nice things to do, such as visit museums, do the tour of the city by canal bus; my favourite quarter is around the Leidse plein. The Rijksmuseum is one of my best expériences and it is always a pleasure to visit this museum.
