The hotel was located right in the middle of Bergen, perfect and central to everything. The hotel was absolutely beautiful, opulent surroundings and nothing like this in New Zealand. It was historical and we loved it. The staff at reception were so helpful and friendly, they even helped take bags up to our room. Which as a very nice room - one of the few with a view over the harbour. We love the half day cruise up the fjord - well worth it.

We arrived in early morning after a night train ride. Fortunately, our room was ready and the friendly hotel staff offered early check-in free of charge, as well as breakfast on the first day. Wonderful way to start our visit in Bergen. Everything was great in the hotel and the Fika time, included dinner, sauna and steam bath just make it more enjoyable (and worth every penny).

We liked this hotel, as it was in the heart of the city, right next to the wooden houses and also was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also exceeding the standarts. I would definetely recommend this hotel.
