South AfricaThis is great stay specially with kids. It's got a games room and two swimming pools overlooking the front beach. The Restaurants, shops and peer is with in walking distance. A big up for housekeeping and the beds are a bliss to sleep on. I love the fact that our room has a communal basin (kitchen and bathroom Basin) outside the bathroom and that the toilette is separate from our bathroom which incl a shower and a bath. Reception and night staff is always available and very helpful will surely visit again when exploring the Bay of Islands.

Too expensive, you had to pay for a 2 day ticket but only had time to visit once. So did not go (also saw a lot of people walk away like ourselves) 1 day ticket should be available at a lower price.

Don't miss this, even if it means going out of your way.
Don't miss this, even if it means going out of your way. The museums tell the story of NZ and its people in an even handed and self critical way that makes one think .. There is a relaxing cafe on the grounds and leafy, well maintained trails and arbor walks.

We ran out of time visiting everywhere else, but definitely on the next holiday list. Thank you to the local guides that stopped and had a chat with us about the history. Checkout the Waitangi treaty grounds website for more details! You need 1-2 days for the visit and the price of entry includes guided tours and a Maori performance as well as the history.

It was great to be able to walk to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds and walk to all the local restaurants in Paihia.
We also appreciated the plentiful supplies of washing liquid and dishwasher powder as well as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the bathroom.
The bed was comfortable, and we were able to leave the windows open at night because it was so peaceful.

I was on a work trip (with some sightseeing thrown in) and stayed for 12 nights in September 2025.
The location is perfect, being within walking distance of the village, wharf and most facilities (including a supermarket) and even the Waitangi Treaty grounds. I had a single unit, which was clean and tidy, and had all the facilities I required. The staff were unobtrusive, but still very helpful when I needed assistance.

The location was great. Caltex in front , Woolworth just beside the hotel . 200m to the beach ..1km from Waitangi treaty grounds, 3km from Haruru falls and 1.5km to Pahia city centre.
The room was very clean, and the bed was very comfy.

The apartment is nicely secluded and private and conveniently located close to a supermarket, the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, the information centre, ferry to Russell and shops and places to eat.

Amazing location right next to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds and across the road from the beach. Amazing views! We had an apartment with the hot tub and it was fantastic. We also has a lot of people and everyone was accommodated comfortably with a great living space inside and outside.
