Burmester was great, we didnt do tour just sat and did wine tasting with tapas, host very nice, very relaxing in cellar. Plenty of old brand names here. Be sure to do a quick guided tour and wait to buy after you sample free. Best prices are at the source winery like the huge ones here in Vila Nova de Gaia. Truly we had friends staying at fancy hotels that didn’t have as good a view as us. We spent most evenings watching the sun set over Porto from there. It is located perfectly for Gaia and accessing all the port wine cellars and tourist locations on that side of the river (cable car etc.). It is also located in a quiet square with a beautiful church right nearby. There is a private garage so no need to spend time looking for parking in the street. The apartment is clean, well equipped kitchen and toilet (plenty of towels, etc.). The location is great - local, however only five minutes walk away from the Gaia side of the city centre/bridge/Telegrafica cable car/port wine cellars.
