NetherlandsEverything about shiva lodge is incredible, its a newly opened accommodation. The houses are incredible, everything is perfect. From waking up to birds chirping and having a coffee on ur balcony. The area (garden) is well mantained.
Although they dont serve breakfast they give fresh coffee/water and bananas every morning.
They even decorated the bedroom for my boyfriends birthday, even gave a breakfast voucher as a gift.
The staff is amazing! Nothing was too much.
They can also provide laundry service / scooter rental.
Also they can pick up up from the pier for free

IrelandI had a wonderful stay at the Mar Ozo Hotel. The girls at reception were so nice, kind, and extremely helpful, which made check-in a very pleasant experience. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, with a really nice bathroom and very comfortable beds. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and there was always hot water available. I also appreciated the little details like water in the fridge and being well taken care of while waiting for the room to be ready. Overall, an excellent stay – highly recommended!

BelgiumEverything! The room is clean and the bed comfortable, with everything you need, the location is perfect if you rent a motorbike, they even have a supermarket in the hotel (not a hotel shop a real supermarket)
The staff is incredible, the included breakfast is nice for the price of the room

Shark Bay
While it may be tricky to get to – the dirt road is windy and steep – it’s well worth the effort to make the trek to Shark Bay. As the name suggests, it’s one of the best places in Koh Tao to see blacktip and whitetip sharks, as well as a whole host of other creatures. Just watch out for sea urchins on the seabed, as it’s quite shallow for quite a way out into the water.

Loved this beach, fine and white.
Loved this beach, fine and white. It does get busy and a bit noisy with boats towards end of the day coming in for the clear warm waters to snorkel. It was worth it though. I stayed at the Rocky Resort with a beautiful view from my balcony, where I spent hours drinking in the view and all the tropical sounds. We only stayed one night but really loved it. Attached to the resort (though I don’t think it’s officially part of it) there’s a lovely little restaurant. Shark Bay and the pier are just a few minutes away by scooter (the pier is even walkable). Compared to other hillside options, this location is definitely preferable, as you avoid steep, winding, and potentially dangerous roads. The hotel also picked us up and dropped us off at the pier, but specific times only. We could rent snorkels from the hotel for cheap. The location was perfect for us, only a short walk to shark bay.
