GermanyWe had the most amazing time at Shiva Lodge! Everyone was so kind and welcoming and we felt very much at home. Will definitely come back and we really loved all the little details (Books on the nightstands, Snack bar and free coffee) and honestly the lodges are an architectural masterpiece! ☺️ Thanks for everything

IrelandI had a wonderful stay at the Mar Ozo Hotel. The girls at reception were so nice, kind, and extremely helpful, which made check-in a very pleasant experience. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, with a really nice bathroom and very comfortable beds. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and there was always hot water available. I also appreciated the little details like water in the fridge and being well taken care of while waiting for the room to be ready. Overall, an excellent stay – highly recommended!

IndiaWe spent 2 days at Sunrise Koh Tao, Walking distance from the Ferry. We were pleased with the room given to us, we had a beautiful view of the beach and Mae Mae the host who helped us with our check-in and excursions had a great hospitality. The place is clean and you can sit by the restaurant, work or enjoy a drink by the beach. You can even swim at the beach. The sea was very very calm. Staff at Sunrise was extremely polite and helpful with the renting of a bike or even planning the day excursions. Sunrise is located at the center of everything with less noise. If your looking for a long stay at Koh Tao then Sunrise is the perfect place.

Shark Bay
While it may be tricky to get to – the dirt road is windy and steep – it’s well worth the effort to make the trek to Shark Bay. As the name suggests, it’s one of the best places in Koh Tao to see blacktip and whitetip sharks, as well as a whole host of other creatures. Just watch out for sea urchins on the seabed, as it’s quite shallow for quite a way out into the water.

Loved this beach, fine and white.
Loved this beach, fine and white. It does get busy and a bit noisy with boats towards end of the day coming in for the clear warm waters to snorkel. It was worth it though. I stayed at the Rocky Resort with a beautiful view from my balcony, where I spent hours drinking in the view and all the tropical sounds. We only stayed one night but really loved it. Attached to the resort (though I don’t think it’s officially part of it) there’s a lovely little restaurant. Shark Bay and the pier are just a few minutes away by scooter (the pier is even walkable). Compared to other hillside options, this location is definitely preferable, as you avoid steep, winding, and potentially dangerous roads. The hotel also picked us up and dropped us off at the pier, but specific times only. We could rent snorkels from the hotel for cheap. The location was perfect for us, only a short walk to shark bay.
