Location, staff, cleanliness were 10/10. We arrived late in the evening and mentioned to the staff that we would like to have strawberries and if he could advise where we could buy them. He couldn’t advise where to buy them on the spot, but a few minutes later he brought strawberries to our room. This was a very kind surprise - thank you!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this brand-new hotel “Haci Bayram”, and it exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. They went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, always with a friendly smile.Concerning the cleanliness the hotel is impeccable and every corner is scented and you can really tell that great care has been taken in maintaining the space. The view from the hotel is absolutely breathtaking! We highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a top experience Istanbul. The combination of attentive service, cleanliness, and beautiful views makes it a standout choice. We will definitely come back if we return in Istanbul

Everything was perfect, the staff is very sweet, flexible and helpful. The room is clean, bed is very comfortable and towels are changed as needed. The location is excellent, close to most of the touristic places (walking distance), yet very calm. Close to the tram station, so you can go around the city easily.

Blue Mosque

Constructed between 1609 and 1616, the striking Sultan Ahmed Mosque – or ‘Blue Mosque’ – is still a place of worship today. With no war victories to fund it, this opulent structure had to be paid for straight from the treasury – angering the Ottoman legal scholars of the time! Non-Muslim visitors are encouraged to visit, but should be respectful of the strict dress code.

The Blue Mosque — Sacred Stillness in a Lively World

The Blue Mosque — Sacred Stillness in a Lively World Stepping into the courtyard of the Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet Camii) is like crossing into another time. Its towering minarets and sweeping domes echo with centuries of prayer, artistry, and devotion — a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture that still breathes with the spirit of Islam. Inside, the air is silent despite the buzz of tourists. Light filters through stained-glass windows, dancing across thousands of hand-painted blue Iznik tiles. There’s a deep reverence here — not only for faith, but for heritage itself. You feel it in every arch, every call to prayer, every quiet footstep across the carpeted floor. And yet, outside the mosque, life unfolds with its own charm: cats stretch lazily in sun-warmed corners, dogs nap peacefully under shady trees. Meanwhile, travelers from every corner of the world struggle for the perfect angle — clicking away hundreds of “crazy” photos, but always with a sense of wonder. Despite the crowds, the atmosphere remains remarkably friendly and trustworthy. Locals smile. Tourists help each other with photos. There's an unspoken agreement to respect the moment — and the place. This isn’t just a tourist stop. It’s a symbol — of culture that knows how to honor the past without shutting the present out. And it leaves you walking away with something more than just pictures.

As a Christian, first time in a mosque, I was impressed. The colors and architecture are impressive. I was lucky enough to have the accommodation 5min away so I could enjoy the beauty before going in, one night before. I recognize I was disguised by the non-Muslims that are not able to respect other people beliefs and gets in the prayer area just for pictures. Pity them. You should never put your pictures before the place you are, no matter what.

One of the most sought after architectural wonders. It’s free. But dress appropriately. No bare shoulders, no bare knees and women need a scarf to cover their heads. Best to go prepared but you will also need given disposable covers at the entrance.

As a first time visitor to Istanbul, we wanted to stay close to the historic centre. The hotel is close to a corner, so very easy to navigate to after a day sightseeing. All the main sites were within a 10 minute walk, Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque and the Hagis Sophia… also walking distance to the harbour. Staff were helpful, lots of toiletries and immaculately clean. Beds and pillows very comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay at Magnaura Palace Hotel! The location is unbeatable — just a short walk from Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Topkapı Palace, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and cozy. The rooms are charming and comfortable; One of the highlights was the terrace view — watching over Istanbul’s historic skyline was magical. The staff was warm, attentive, and always ready to help with suggestions or arrangements.

This was a lovely small hotel in a great part of Istanbul away from the bustle but 5 mins stroll to the Blue Mosque. We had a room with a large terrace that had fantastic views. Breakfast was a highlight each morning due to the amazing selection of savoury and sweet food plus the amazing view out to the Bosphorus. Everyone in the hotel couldn't have been more helpful.

Very cosy self-contained apartment the used to be the home of the owners - and Nesrin (owner) was charming and very helpful. Incredible location just 100m from the Blue Mosque (visible from the roof terrace) and Old Town Istanbul. Surrounded by great cafes and restaurants, including the pizza parlour on the ground floor, with Farhat the super-friendly manager. The roof terrace is accessible and has wonderful views of Marmara. Overall I highly recommend!

The location of the apartment in a traditional house was the highlight of our stay. The apartment was well-equipped with everything needed, very clean, with high-quality linens and a stunning view of the Blue Mosque. The hosts helped us find a parking spot nearby, and overnight we were able to move the car right in front of the property as the street was clear. This will definitely be our preferred accommodation for our next visit to Istanbul
