It's a pleasant enough walk down from Tamsin, but most of the shops are similar to those to be found in most big cities in Europe. The historic tram is a fun ride if you want to skip the walk. Great place for people-watching, with 2 million people a day traipsing up and down it. Be sure and explore some of the side alleys. The street outside can be a bit noisy, but once the windows are closed it’s not too loud, and the air conditioners work perfectly, ensuring a comfortable stay. The location is excellent, very well connected with the whole city, and close to Taksim, Istiklal Street, and Galata Tower.
