Sabalo Lodge was the best place we stayed in CR. The area is huge, you can fully enjoy the privacy and the jungle with all what it brings. You will see plenty of animals in the lodge itself, on top of it there is a private trail to explore. Anouk and Kevin are amazing hosts, they will make sure your dreams will become true! The lodge is in the middle of the jungle and I strongly suggest to explore all what it has to offer from various nearby activities and wider area to amazing cuisine made of the local products by Kevin and Esmeralda who discovered an art in mixing French and Costa Rican tastes! Highly recommend not to miss this place as rare and precious!

We cruised in for two nights to check out Corcovado and had an awesome stay! The biggest plus? You're right where the boat drops you off—no extra trekking needed. The spot also has a restaurant that’s a bit pricey, but totally worth it ‘cause the food is next level. You get all the good stuff too—AC, ocean views, the works. Bonus note - as for the tours, the day tour was solid. But the night tour? Total miss. Barely saw any wildlife and spent four hours trudging through a river in the dark… not exactly the adventure we were hoping for. 🤷‍♂️ But hey, at least the stay was epic! 🤙🌊

The place is really nice. In the middle of the forest, we heard insects at night and birds the morning. It’s just amazing. Bonus: we had an awesome neighbor, Carlos.

The most fabulous view of anywhere we have ever stayed. You could sit on the balcony and just watch the activity of Drakes Bay - boats coming and going, birds & butterflies flying overhead and the most gorgeous birdsong. The sunsets had so many pinks and purples it was impossible not to stop taking photos. Spacious and clean room and bathroom. Air con was excellent and a welcome relief from the steamy tropical heat of the day. We had a deluxe bungalow with sea view room that had a single spa bath on the balcony which was heaven to cool down with cold water in the afternoons after activities. The common area for breakfast and sunset drinks provided the same stunning view as balcony. The $8 per person breakfast was very substantial and delicious. It is also really considerate that they start breakfast early at 5:30 for any of those doing activities that start at 6am. They also sell drinks so you can enjoy sitting back watching the view with a cocktail, spirits or beer. There is a distinct lack of beach facing venues to enjoy a drink so this is really the best option!

best stay while in Costa Rica!!! very good accommodation for the price - we really enjoyed our stay! they Organizer tours for us, that were very well. we could use a fridge and the kitchen, they provided us with filtered water for free.

I have lived in Costa Rica for 20 years an travel all the time....honestly this may be one of the best values around these days. We stayed in room #5 which has a kitchette (very handy), but best off all, an absolutely amazing view, with a private deck and swimming pool. While not luxurious, for the price we paid (about $100/night) this is unbelievable in CR now. Other great points: breakfast is terrific, staff is super friendly, it's an absolute paradise of birds/wildlife and it's very accessible to town and nearby beaches (ie. easy walking distance). I'd be back in a heartbeat.

Punta Marenco Lodge is located in a National Wildlife Refuge. It is surrounded by tropical vegetation and boasts private beach access.

Our stay in the Corcovado Green Cabin was a highlight and the perfect end of our Costa Rica trip! Raquel was so lovely and the cabin was just beautiful, very clean and located in such a peaceful area. We only needed around 10 min by walk to arrive at the beach, where we literally were the only 2 people! Our highlight was the great view which we enjoyed in the morning during breakfast or in the evenings watching the sunset. We totally recommend it and would come back any time! The room was like the pictures suggested: nice, spacious and clean. All accomodations needed were present, The owners are extremely friendly and helpfull. The property has a nice garden with lots of white faced monkeys! The breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend!
