We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lodge and would highly recommend it. The room was spacious and featured a well-equipped kitchen, plus breathtaking mountain views. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, making it hard to leave. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

The host was really friendly, considered our comfort for example by serving us dinner to our room. The dome we stayed in was comfortable. The area is quiet so it was nice to hear the sounds of nature arround you. We felt peace and was able to disconecr from our busy last days in Costa Rica.

This property was gorgeous in and amongst the cloud forest of Monteverde. The balcony was amazing and lovely to sit and watch the wildlife. It was clean and tidy and very cosy at night. The bed was comfortable, and the panoramic views of the forest through the windows made for a great view for your morning coffee. The location was great a short walk into town but a bit of a steep walk but up however only a $5 taxi ride! The staff were incredibly friendly - Edwin welcomed us, showed us around and even booked us on zip lining tours and night tours ! I would highly recommend!

This is a gem of a place which we highly recommend! El Sol enjoys magnificent views of the hills down to the plain being situated a couple of miles out of town where it is definitely warmer, sunnier and less wet. There are interesting gardens (plenty of birds) and a super pool area where you can swim, relax and watch the sunset in the evening. There are six different cabins, we stayed in three, all laid out with anything you might need with sunny views, one with a jacuzzi perched over the valley. The breakfast is superb and supper is available being tasty and convenient after a long day of sightseeing, alternatively there are plenty of suggestions to eat out. . Nothing is too much for Javier and Sian and their happy team. We liked El Sol so much that on our last night in Costa Rica we checked out of another hotel and came back to El Sol instead!

LOVELY grounds to enjoy to watch birds or sit and read. Plenty of comfortable outdoors seating , along with the common living room / kitchen area. Family-run and they do a fabulous job of making you feel welcome. Very responsive to questions before our arrival. Coffee shop, restaurants, co-op grocery just an easy stroll on sidewalk. Bed was very comfortable and daily clean-up was a treat.

While a bit difficult to get to, it was well worth the drive to get to see a family run farm with lush fruit and coffee trees which were used to make the provided breakfast. I wish we would have stayed longer.

The location is beautiful, within the forest. Welcoming by Vanesa was warm and informative. Beautiful views and exceptional attention. The room was spacious and comfortable. Pillows were great. The food was amazing, from the “ a la carte “ breakfast included with the booking, to the dinner at the Endémica Restaurant experience. The restaurant offer a regular and a vegan menu, and superb desserts and ice creams. Very concious philosophy on environment and community sustainability.

This hotel exceeded our expectations in many ways! It's at the end of a pathway at the border of the forest, so there is no traffic noise and a lot of wildlife to see! We had a room on the top floor which was very quiet and private, with a terrace from which we could see lots of birds and animals. Breakfast was great and staff was very helpful. There is free coffee, tea and cake in the afternoon, and the hotel is conveniently located close to the city and not far from the national parks. Definitely recommended!

The place is secluded and absolutely gorgeous. It is in the middle of a forest and there is space between each bungalow. The facility is really something else. Just amazing.

We had two apartments on the top floor with full kitches, balconies, gorgeous eating areas, large bedrooms. The view was outstanding and we saw the most gorgeous sunsets. The grounds are pretty. A big plus was a secure parking spot. Close to restaurants as well and tourist attractions. Plus use of a free washing machine and dryer. The person who checked us in stays there and gave us his what's app number in case we needed to reach him during the night.
