Simply: everything! Ambong Rainforest Retreat is such a great place run by lovely people. Everything is well thought through and the service is exceptional. In fact we loved the stay so much that we changed our travel schedule to enjoy more time here. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful nature, yet, the Cenang strip/mall is within walking distance (30min) or alternatively a Grab/taxi can be hailed easily. The hotel staff - everyone (!) - is super nice and helpful with suggesting activities and what not. The breakfast is delicious and guests can choose between two wonderful restaurants with great atmosphere and views (one is vegan). Thanks to the whole Ambong Team for having us and making our honeymoon start as amazing as it could have been - we will definitely stay at Ambong when coming back to Langkawi!

Perfect getaway, resort is lovely and the staff was perfect. Special thanks to Aliff who was so accomodating. Location is centralized to the attractions, however it might be a bit challenging if you aren't planning on driving/riding and relying on grab. FYI if you're thinking of renting a car whilst you're in Langkawi, do it through Aliff instead as he knows the reputable companies.

Clean and comfy stay. Swimming pool in the middle of paddy field is wonderful. Kids love that. Breakfast was provided. And even a surprise little welcome gift upon arrival. Thanks so much for making our stay memorable.

I like that it’s close by the airport, staff is friendly, stay is comfortable and cosy.
