This lodge deserves all the stars it can get. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with professionalism and friendliness. The staff were exceptional! We loved our room, with the exquisite bath and outdoor shower. The game drives were great and our guide superb. The first night we arrived we were treated with dinner in the boma area which was a real treat. We even experienced rhinos coming to drink water from the bar area during check-in. Hats off to the staff and everyone running Shepards Tree as we will be back!

We had a truly wonderful time during our weekend getaway with a group of 12 close friends and family. From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for—truly spoiling us with their hospitality. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the game drives, guided by the exceptional Ranger Godfrey. His deep knowledge of the land’s history and wildlife added so much depth to the experience, making each drive not only exciting but also educational. He took such thoughtful care of us—packing a cooler bag and blankets for the drives, Early evenings he spoiled us even more by lighting fires inside the home and at the outdoor fire pit to warm us and keep us cozy. Another unforgettable part of our stay was watching the wildlife roam freely right on our doorstep, gathering at the nearby watering hole. It was an incredible experience to witness such natural beauty so up close—something truly special that made our time there feel magical. Every morning, we woke to a spotless home, cleaned and prepared before we were even up, setting the tone for another day of fun and relaxation. We can’t recommend this venue highly enough to anyone who loves nature, tranquility, and the simple joy of being surrounded by beauty. It was an unforgettable experience, and we’re already looking forward to returning.

Amazing stay. Staff was very helpful, they make you feel like home. Rooms are big, clean and very confortable. Food is very good, we loved the dinner served at the room! It was our honeymoon trip and everuthing was great! The games were nice, we were not luck the first ones but in the last we saw lions and elefants!

The location and the facilities for a larger group. it was nice to have ample accommodation for separate family groups. it was peaceful and the surrounding nature. We felt that we were alone and no sense of being crowded with many other tourists. Friendly competent staff.
