It was an amazing stay at Madikwe. The game drives in the morning and evening were amazing, we had a very skilled ranger who knew a lot and saw a lot of animals. The rooms were spacious and clean and at the waterhole there were always animals to watch. The staff was so friendly and helpful, food was also delicious. I can warmy recommend going there, I will surely return one day.

We booked this resort at short notice because there were problems with our original booking. That was an absolute stroke of luck. The resort is unique in many ways. The staff are incredibly friendly and courteous and the guides on the daily game drives (5.30 a.m. and 4 p.m.) are incredibly knowledgeable (especially Damian). But the absolute highlight is the waterhole directly at the resort. There is a kind of peephole or trench that you can go into. From there you can watch the animals that pass by very regularly (elephants, kudus, zebras, buffalos, lions etc.) from a distance of just 4-5 metres. It was particularly nice that South Africans who have been going on safaris for 20 years were also guests at the resort. And they also said that this peephole and the entire experience is truly outstanding and unique. Perfect all round.

Superb place, service, food, staff

What a place! I could honestly go on forever about how amazing Madikwe Hills Private Game Lodge is! We were return travelers and had another truly incredible stay. From stunningly beautiful rooms, wonderful and very friendly staff, absolutely amazing wildlife and delicious food- nothing is short of perfect. We just wish we stayed longer! We will definitely be back!

The game drives were an absolute highlight of our stay. The knowledgeable and passionate game ranger (Willem) provided a wealth of information about the wildlife and their habitats, making each drive an educational and thrilling experience. The encounters with the magnificent animals in their natural habitat were truly awe-inspiring and left us with memories that will last a lifetime. The Boma evening was a truly memorable experience. The traditional setting, the crackling fire, and the delicious food made for an authentic and enjoyable evening. It offered a unique opportunity to connect with other guests and share stories while immersing ourselves in the rich African culture. The food and beverage offerings at Rhulani were exceptional. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire team at Rhulani for their dedication to providing an exceptional guest experience.

Very nice villa on a great resort with great staff and the most excellent game ranger ever ( Silas). Also good cook. Everyone went out of their way to give you a special experience.
