San Ignacio
With garden views, Sweet Songs Jungle Lodge is located in San Ignacio and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. We loved the surroundings and staff. Rooms are a little older, but very clean and comfortable. Pool was really nice and well maintained. River tubing was fun, but a little hike to get to the entry and exit. We rented a car and drove from Belize City. Was easy to find, but road to the lodge was a bit rough and steep. Missed my AWD/4X4 on the last 2 miles. Meals there were excellent. We did not do the all inclusive. Overall it felt like a land based cruise where our family could do individual things during the day and we could meet up for meals and time at the pool easily.

The list goes on and on, it was my wife’s favorite hotel that she’s ever stayed in and that says a lot because we travel more than 50% of the year.

This was the best trip I have ever taken. I’d like to mention who stood out but the whole staff was amazing. We tubed down the river, pet the bunnies & donkeys & ate fruits & vegetables raised on the farm. The pictures of the rooms & common areas don’t give this justice. We went to the ruins & had a phenomenal guide (Gershwin) that made all the difference. I felt extremely safe & a part of something bigger than myself. Thank you so much for an experience I will never forget. I felt like part of your family. I already miss waking up to the sounds of the birds & monkeys in the jungle.

With river views, Lower Dover Jungle Lodge & Maya Ruins is set in Unitedville and has a restaurant, a shared kitchen, bar, garden, terrace and barbecue. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Maddie was super lovely! Really helpful with any questions and her food was great! The best vegetarian food I have had in Belize. I was worried about how far away it was from San Ignacio but there is a bus stop near the property and that meant you could go and explore San Ignacio and the ruins surrounding it really easily. River and the ruins on the property are also great.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating, the on-site cooks made delicious meals every day for breakfast and dinner. The pool and hammocks made for an extremely relaxing experience. It was nice to just be outside of the hustle and bustle of San Ignacio. We stayed in the guacamaya lodge.
This property was nestled in the mountain Pine Ridge area, very accessible to tourist attractions, and what I liked about it was that it was an ecological lodge. It was so peaceful and beautiful.
Sweet songs jungle lodge is in the middle of the jungle and yet is classy and has all the amenities to make your stay a great one. We enjoyed floating on the river and relaxing at the pool. The food is excellent and wildlife is abundant. We have spotted tucans outside our room. We recommend to take a guided tour of the botanical gardens nearby.
We faced a few difficulties with communication because we were out of data in Belize and arrived very late to the resort. Still, we were greeted warmly and the lodge was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Nice bed, water, a small kitchen with the necessary appliances, and what was best, slightly secluded and surrounded by nature, so it was really nice for a long-awaited rest. The restaurant was nice, breakfast was good.
Since we are a family of 4 we booked a room with two double beds. The room was quite small and there was only room for two people to sit on the porch. Since renovation was being done to the room next to us and my husband complained about the noise we were upgraded to the garden cottage. I wasn’t too excited about the room but the garden cottage was fantastic for us as a family. The grounds of the resort are stunning and having the choice of swimming in the pool or tubing on the river was luxury. We loved the wildlife around the lodge.
Love how the lodges are spread out for more privacy.
This is a very nice property located outside of San Ignacio. It’s meant to be more of a remote, jungle experience in nice little individual lodges. It is only about a 10 minute taxi to the center of town. If you are looking to be in walking distance then better to stay in town, but if looking for a hideaway this was a very nice spot!
The property and lodges are beautiful, even better than the online pictures if that’s possible. There were so many positives about our experience including the comfortable beds, view of the sunrise from our room, privacy of the lodge but only 5 min drive to downtown, the sweetest puppies on the property, and the most welcoming hosts that ensured we had everything we could ever need. All of our tours (ATM and Tikal) were willing to pick us up from the lodge without charging any extra fees. Would highly recommend :)
Really helpful contact with staff and information provided beforehand. Amazing location and thoughtfully arranged property at a reasonable price. Everything provided that was needed in the property, including a nice shared pool, and near to Blancaneux and Gaia lodges which have good restaurants (not cheap) if you don’t want to self-cater all meals. (Note: Gaia prices are in USD and exclusive of taxes).
