The lodge provides a barbecue. We had a wonderful stay in this piece of heaven. We stayed in one of the wooden lodges with warm (!!) outdoor showers. If you look up you just see the trees and birds! We saw and heard the toucan from our room, saw the hummingbirds sitting in the trees and around the feeder, and even heard a nightjar at night! There is a small fridge with beverages to purchase in the room, and free coffee and tea. The food at breakfast and dinner is wonderful (I tried many new things) and there is always good energy in the kitchen, everyone is so friendly! Marcella also has a lot of really helpful travel advice and always looked out for how to help! :) Thank you so much for this amazing stay!

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. We couldn’t rate Sweet Songs highly enough! Everything was fantastic. First off the location is beautiful. Yes, it’s off a long and quite bumpy road but it’s totally worth it. The scenery and wildlife are incredible! It feels so peaceful within the Lodge. We stayed in a Casita which was also lovely. They had even laid out little petals across the bed when we arrived and we were given a welcome drink too. The food was also fantastic. Great options for breakfast and lunch, the dinner menu changed daily and they made great cocktails too. We saw no need to venture out of the Lodge as it had everything we needed food and drinks wise! Most importantly the staff were all so wonderful - they genuinely wanted you to enjoy your stay and went out of their way to help you, but in a relaxed and friendly manner. We can’t wait to come back here!

Each bungalow here features cozy wooden décor and comes equipped with a seating area, a kitchenette and a private bathroom with a shower and toilet. They also have a private terrace overlooking the gardens. This is luxury embedded in nature. It is beautiful with a lovely pool and wild birds & animals around. The restaurant has the most amazing menu, outstanding quality, presentation & each recipe incorporates a local ingredient, such as fruit, tamarind, & fresh fish.

Well this place is paradise, perfect in every way. The location is stunning particularly when looking at the mountains from your balcony first thing in the morning. The restaurant food was very good too at ok prices.

El Pilar is 19 km from Yumas Riverfront Lodge, while Barton Creek Cave is 25 km away. The property is well- hidden in a little bit of paradise. The rooms were just great, “chic” and superclean. It is a fantastic place! Highly highly reccommended. A note on the staff: -Crystal ( hope spelling is right!). She was superhelpful with info from booking to check-out. Great host - cleaners ( apologies as I dont know their names). Just fantastic! Also, I left a large amount of money in the room when we left ( thought I lost it somewhere else) . Everything was returned to me after few days. Chapeau!!

We tubed down the river, pet the bunnies & donkeys & ate fruits & vegetables raised on the farm. The pictures of the rooms & common areas don’t give this justice. We went to the ruins & had a phenomenal guide (Gershwin) that made all the difference. I felt extremely safe & a part of something bigger than myself. Thank you so much for an experience I will never forget. I felt like part of your family. I already miss waking up to the sounds of the birds & monkeys in the jungle.

Hidden Valley Inn -- unexpectedly, I stayed in a lodge, within 7300 acres of wilderness in the Mountain Pine Ridge, 1 hour away from San Ignacio. I was greeted like a special guest, stayed in a beautiful villa, minutes away from the grand lodge, and the pool. There are kilometers of hiking trails, 5 major waterfalls on the property. I did the Butterfly trail, a 30 minutes by car, and a 30 minutes hike. Splendid! When you arrive at the falls and it's emerald lagoon, in the middle of lush jungle, you think that these few moments “Oh Mon Dieu" There they were all for myself, known as the “jewel of the property", featured in several tourist brochures of Belize.
