The mule pick-up service added a unique touch, making us feel like true adventurers as we arrived at the property. Our room had breathtaking views and we couldn't get enough of the ever-changing panorama and the sounds of the river stream and birds around us. We enjoyed Polo's culinary skills, showcasing local flavors and ingredients. The chocolate tour was an absolute highlight! Learning about the process while indulging in treats was an experience we won't soon forget. Also the inclusion of local fruits from the grounds was a delightful touch. It felt like a genuine connection to the land and its offerings. From the moment we arrived to the second we left, Polo's warm hospitality and attention to detail were evident. Watchakyta is such a unique and wonderful place to relax and disconnect: the beach is beautiful, the place is calm, there is no noise but those of nature. The team working there is absolutely amazing, everyone is super nice and as helpful as possible. We stayed 3 nights and it was the perfect spot to get some rest, swim and sleep on the beach, contemplating the ocean bay :) We will keep lovely memories from our stay here!

The room is your own haven with screened walls on some walls for a bug-free immersion into the forest. Very light/clean/airy! The night insects whistle at night, and you wake to the birds in the morning! The grounds are stunning and immaculate! They have lovely cats & dogs happily enjoying the property with you! Especially Mateo!:: ... They have the best customer service, handling all your needs, and they speak English and Spanish which can be a big plus for travelers! They sent their dogs with me for the back roads hike to beautiful waterfalls! The dogs led the way (pic attached!). Then when I came back, I tracked mud all over my floor. Carmen instantly arrived with a mop and cleaned my floor! Then I had a perfectly clean room again! 👍 .... I fell in love with Trompito, and the staff here mentioned a nice apartment down the road, which ended up being perfect for me, and now I will be neighbors to this lovely accommodations that offers you a unique and complete experience of a lifetime!

Simón Bolívar International Airport is 46 km from the property, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. This is a beautiful house with outstanding Mountain Views. You can see the dedication of the owner on every detail. It has everything one needs for a very comfortable stay. Premium mattress and linens, hot water, tasteful decorations and lots of small details. Yuca restaurant is a few steps away and we enjoyed great breakfast and dinners. Tayrona Park is 10 minutes walking distance.

An American breakfast is available at the lodge. Las Tekas is a a great little newly opened place - a short walk from the main road, down a side road, and very close to the Calabazo entrance to Tayrona. The hosts were especially lovely - very welcoming and happy to give valuable advice about the park and local area. Teka (the hotel dog) was also very cute and friendly, which was a bonus. They've only been open for a month so everything is brand new, and they've built a fantastic viewing deck on the top of the property for (unofficial) bird watching and views across the jungle. It was fantastic value for money and very well located - would definitely recommend.

Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. I loved how welcoming our hosts Justine & Danny were, plus they had amazing activities to offer. The kitchen area is just perfect to prepare some delicious dinner. The communal area with hammocks, couches and the pool are just perfect to relax after an adventure and the property is well maintained. Proximity to Tayrona National Park is just 10 walking minutes to the next entrance.

With mountain views, Minca El Dorado Reserve is situated in Minca and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden and terrace. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge.

There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. For bird lovers this is paradise. Plenty of nature around to see many local and migratory birds. If you like just trail walking, this is a nice option. Trails inside the reserve make it a wild and excellent experience.
