Absolutely beautiful. Our favourite stay so far. The site is phenomenal - we explored the grounds and loved the nature. The staff were amazing they went above and beyond. Cabin was beautiful and totally allowed disconnection from the world. Lovely breakfast - all fresh from the garden. We loved it.

Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. Exceeded all expectations. Thank you to the staff for all their help. Beautiful well maintained grounds. We saw more animals in the yard than in a national park. Lots of hummingbirds, a raccoon came between 10am and 11, and a family of Capuchin monkeys came every day around 2pm. It was a lot of fun to watch them.

Playa Negra Guesthouse is located in Cahuita, right in front of the beach.

Some units also have a kitchenette, equipped with a microwave, a toaster, and a stovetop. Towels are available. Fantastic place with a beautiful garden, plenty of wildlife! The hosts are super welcoming, taking their time to show you around and help spot the animals (sloths, toucans, lizards etc). The pool is also very nice as well as the beach just across the street - it has shade, more sloths and feels safe for kids. We would have happily spent more time there!

The vegetation also gives each unit privacy. The hosts are delightful, plaeasant, informative and always eager to answer questions and make suggestions to enhance your vacation. The dwellings and property are spotless. Because the property is in the jungle, the sounds of nature are all around. It is easy to get to the national park in Cauhita. We rented bikes as our mode of transportation but the property is best enjoyed with a vehicle. The pool is magnificent, large and surrounded by natural vegetation.

If you would like to discover the area, cycling is possible in the surroundings and the lodge can arrange a bicycle rental service. The owner, Lucas, is the sweetest. Super attentive. The place is beautiful and very quiet, right in front of the beach. We only stayed one night but we wish we had stayed longer!

Free WiFi and free private parking is available on site. Werner was extremely nice and very accommodating. Even brought us candles when the power went out. He also decorated the porch for my birthday, which was a nice surprise!

Silent place and a nice garden where you can see different kinds of animal in the morning when you have breakfast on the terrace. The owner life there and when you need anything the help you with all. It Was one of the best place in CR where we stay. Chauita is a traditionell place and ypu have nice Restaurants next to the bungalow orjust 15min the walk to the Center. Puerto Viejo is much expensive and to bussy with a lot of people. Good for visit for one day.

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. The owners were very generous - they even allowed us to wash clothing in their washing machine. Alberto is a great guy and makes an amazing breakfast as well. The place is amazing and located at walking distance from an idyllic beach. Best place in Cahuita.

The bungalow was way more than I expected! It is a beautiful jungle paradise surrounded by gorgeous flora and fauna. We were lulled (lol) to sleep every night by howler monkeys. Thankfully I have heard them before or I would have been petrified! It is an easy walk to the town of Cahuita and the national park. The 2 hammocks were great for relaxing, napping and listening to the sounds of the surrounding jungle!
