My favourite was the rice. The chef Jayalath did an amazing job and breakfast too was delicious. Madushan looked after us really well. Always with a smile and happy to help with everything. They arranged the safari for us which was fantastic. Supan our driver was all over it. Safe driver. He spotted things that only a trained eye would. He was friendly and fun. Highly recommend. Jayalath cooked us an amazing packed lunch. Eating outside by the campfire with oil lights was fabulous. We even had a crocodile who liked our left overs. The two dogs onsite were amazing. I really felt they protected the children especially. If they walked somewhere one or both dogs went with them. They slept on our porch at night. We were just charmed.

The lodge offers a terrace. The staff were so welcoming and lovely. Couldn’t speak strong English but always went above and beyond to make my partner and I feel welcome and comfortable. Sad to leave this place

Fantastic host & would do anything to accommodate our needs. To say the accommodation was very rustic everything was spotless with good bathroom facilities

The lodge provides a barbecue. The room is quite spacious. It's the biggest room we've stayed in the whole Sri Lanka trip. The staff were very friendly. They helped us to prepare the other morning's breakfast package for the Safari tour. We left for the Safari at 5:30a, our breakfast had been there ready. It's at the end of a small village road, and there's a pond in front of the hotel. It's quiet.

Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. A great spot for our family of 4. Walking distance to two beautiful but different beaches. Silent beach was our favourite in all is Sri Lanka. The property was set back in nature and we loved the mornings listening to the sounds and seeing the different animals. Also, a short tuk tuk ride to the surf beach in Hiri. The host was super helpful easy to communicate with. He also gave us a lot of space (which isn’t always the case in Sri Lanka). If we ever visit Sri Lanka again we will be back!

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. A superb accommodation in a laid back area soo chilled, full of huge spacious and lush gardens around. It’s a perfect getaway. We stayed in the upper room which was clean, had good AC and was also very spacious along with the terrace where we watched the sunset while peacocks were wandering around down below in the garden. The beach is just 10 minutes away and you can find nice little local restaurants in the area. Highly recommended.

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Our stay at Green Nest Yala was a wonderful experience. You are in the Sri Lankan bush, surrounded by nature! The site is full of native herbal trees giving it that lush bush feel. The main lounge/ dining area and the lovely swimming pool overlook a lake. The sunsets over the lake are really pretty. The manager is such a lovely person. He was incredibly attentive and really friendly. He made sure that we had everything we needed and that we were happy. He couldn't do more to ensure our stay was perfect. He took us for a walk to the lake at sunset and he pointed out the many crocodiles that live there!! He also pointed out many other animals and birds that live here including monkeys, rabbits, peacocks, squirrels, chameleons, lizards, large ants, water buffalo and eagles. Sometimes a wild elephant may even pass by. There are hundreds of different birds enjoying the trees at Green Nest Yala. We stayed for two relaxing nights and enjoyed all our meals here which were home cooked by the manager and truly very delicious! Our bedroom was basic but very clean and tidy. There is quiet AC and hot water. The main lodge is a great space to sit and relax. We really enjoyed the swimming pool. Oh, and the sun beds are the best! We were the only guests for most of our stay so we had the run of this delightful place to ourselves. Thank you so much for making our stay so memorable!
