The tents are so luxurious and the views from each one are very special. Opening all the windows created an amazing view that was so relaxing and brings nature into the tent. (Windows are mosquito safe so no problems there). The best experience ever. Mike and Mariejke are one of the best hosts I have experienced. True down to earth hospitality. We certainly made new friends with them. Booking the evening meal is a must! Mariejke is an amazing cook and Mike a Braai master! The food was just delicious. Such great value for money and the atmosphere in the evening was super. The friendliest people and they gave great tips for travellers. They recommended the Walking Giraffe safari on the neighbouring property and was an experience you won't forget. All in all this was wonderful and will be going back anytime I am in the Eastern Cape. You cannot go wrong staying there. Perfect location for Addo Elephant Park which was not far away. We stayed 3 nights but would have stayed longer if we had known how incredible it was. We made some lovey memories there.

The lodge is beautiful and very well equipped with everything you need as for example a fan for cooling and a heater and extra blankets. The lodge is equipped with a double bed, a working desk, a wardrobe, a kitchen and a bathroom. We especially liked the incredible view from the terrace. Ingrid was an amazing host, she was very caring and helpful. She booked great tours in the reserves around the area for us.

The Silver Thorns Restaurant at the main lodge serves contemporary and culinary cuisine. Room service and special diet menus can be requested. Drinks and snacks can be enjoyed at the bar. We stayed at Lodge for 3 nights at the end of November, chosing the "All Inclusive" package. It was the best adventure and the best place we stayed during our trip through South Africa. Leo, our tour guide, has showed, explained and I jetted into us the wholesome approach to safari. You could feel like a carefree child that went on adventure to discover. We wish every tour guide could show to its guests such an excepcional respect towards the animals. Leo transforms such kindness, that at the end of the day you feel extremely rewarded by seeing every little living on safari, inuding birds, elephants, monkeys - all living wild and free. In the breaks, we could learn so much by having just a casual conversation with him. We really felt like being invited to magnificent kingdom of the animals, without feeling like some random intruders. A beating heart of this place is Debbie: what an outstanding manger. You "don't see her, don't hear her", but she is there and she keeps and eye on everything, ensuring such a comfortable stay for the guests. Debbie just transmits calmness, kindness, warmth, and professionalism. It was a real pleasure know her. The amazing Crew of the Lodge gives you a total family vibe. They winked an eye at us every time they left us a nice surprise in the form of flower petals or chocolates. Everything from warm towels to wipe our hands, through tasty meals (delicious soups!), was full of kindness and joy of hosting us. From warm welcome to a family-like farewell (followed by messages to check our further progress on the road) - everything was such a beautiful sign of being human that I came back completely refreshed. Enjoy every second of staying at the Lodge. Go out on adventure. Admire the nature with the respect and curiosity of an explorer. Feel fresh air on your face. Eat boldly and healthily. Relax in silence. Enjoy the polite, interesting conversations with wonderful people.

Offering panoramic views of the Zuurberg Mountain Range, Camp Figtree by The Oyster Collection features a variety of game drives, safaris and game walks. There is also an infinity pool and a restaurant.

The lodge offers game drives through Addo National Park, game walks on the property and guided sundowner walks. This was an incredible stay — everything from the view to the tent to the staff to the food was impeccable in every way. The only downside is that we feel like we’ve been spoiled and the rest of our trip simply can’t compare. Special shout out to Norma for her amazing safari drive and Lars for the bush walk — but really the entire staff deserves high marks!

Each spacious hut at Chrislin Lodge comes with private bathroom facilities, a fridge and a ceiling fan. Larger huts also come with air conditioning and a seating area. Beautiful gardens with a lovely pool area. The bed was very comfy and breakfast delicious.

The Lodge is situated on a private game reserve, which boasts over 17 species of wild game animals, including a large family of giraffes. Safaris and day trips can be arranged.

Valley Bushveld Country Lodge serves authentic South African cuisine. During cold winter evenings, guests can enjoy a drink in the lounge with a huge fireplace. One of the best places we have stayed in, in Africa so far. Family run lodge, comfortable good sized rooms. Giraffe walk with the owner was amazing. Info to Addo Park helpful and easy doable for day trip. Food very good. Our stay was fantastic.

Incredibly peaceful being surrounded by nature and had a great time (despite the rain!). The staff were so friendly and accommodating and food was DELICIOUS! Great game drive in Addo, learnt so much and even saw lions. Hope to be back soon.
