The large, newly renovated room was spacious and beautifully designed, blending modern amenities with the hotel’s history. Its boutique charm and prime downtown location made exploring easy. Dinner was equally impressive—the lamb dish was hands down one of the best meals of our entire three-week trip! A perfect mix of character, comfort, and culinary excellence.

The place was beautiful and the entire family really enjoyed our stay there. The place was very clean and all the linens were fresh. We loved the ambience. I just wish we had more time to stay a few more days.

Very spacious, clean, comfortable. Bathroom was exceptional and especially good for access for those with mobility issues. The property is uniquely interesting because of its history. Hosts, Cynthia and Gary are lovely people. Very engaging and interesting. They have put a huge amount of effort into developing the property for their guests.

Clonmara Country House & Cottages offers comfortable and stylish cottages set in 1.5 acres of manicured gardens. The property is fronted by a gorgeous stone cottage dating from 1855.

We booked Clonmara at short notice as our travel plans changed due to the recent bush fires. However, we were absolutely delighted with our choice of accommodation, and the cottage surpassed our expectations in every way. The cottage has everything you need for your stay including a comfortable lounge, large screen tv, games, books and films. We particularly liked the bed orientation where you look out through glass doors towards the field with alpacas grazing. Our only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer in Port Fairy, and enjoy the charms of Clonmara.

What a wonderful cottage! This place is really special, and the hosts went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The kitchen is probably better equipped than my own at home :-) We really enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer.
