The entirely wooden home was an amazing sight and the view was even better. We arrived in the evening and woke up to a spectacular sight hearing the river/waterfalls down below. Absolutely stunning. The family that runs Wood Palace is amazing and has been great in accommodating us with anything we needed during our stay, first making arrangements for me as I was planning to propose to my girlfriend and later whilst our son got sick. The amazing starry nights from the balcony and fireflies lighting up the view topped it off. It’s located a little outside of Ella (5min drive) which made it very peaceful and quiet. The owner has a TukTuk and can bring you anywhere you need very quickly. Would definitely recommend! Thank you for a very memorable stay

Amazing view from the hotel on the mountains and the waterfall. Breakfast is really good and you can enjoy the view meanwhile. Clean and large room with hot water, very friendly staff and family! The father drove me to Yala national park and also visited multiple waterfalls afterwards so had a great day trip!

It’s beautiful and neat. The food was delicious.The location is situated close to a few activities like Little Adam’s Peak, Ravana Club and the zip line. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They even decorated our bed and made a special cake for our anniversary. They go the extra mile. Really an amazing place, highly recommended!

The staff was really nice and helped us a lot! The cooking class is highly recommended. It's surprising to see the kitchen look a little familiar here. There's nothing not to like about vegetarian options. They give us budget taxi service.

Very pleasant stay – the cottage was clean and well-equipped. The host was so kind and helpful, and having the option to rent a scooter was a great convenience. Breakfasts were truly delicious. Definitely worth recommending!

The setting is marvellous. The staff cold not be more friendly, helpful and customer oriented. The cuisine is excellent. And the chef even went the extra mile to cook for us Sri Lankan delicacies, which were not on the menu.

I had the best sleep at this hostel and the breakfast was sooo good! Also it’s (relatively) close to little adam’s peak and nine arch bridge which was very convenient.

The Liyon Hotel was an excellent experience for my family. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very cleanly kept. The bathroom was clean and large, and the mini fridge in the room proved useful. The breakfast provided to us was exceptional and delicious. The hospitality of the hotel owner was commendable. The package is worth a lot more than what we paid, with such a good room and food for a very low price!
