Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.

The room and bed were okay, however the general state of the motel is a bit dated. The room was without service, which means no intermediate cleaning. That is fine for me when staying only a couple of nights only and the price is than lower and no unnecessary cleaning/towels is/are wasted.
There was a nice view of the lake and mountains from the room.

Didn’t eat breakfast. It kind of has a Bates Motel (from the movie Psycho) feel. Cut branches all over the place. Indifferent reception staff. All in all, could have been a lot better, considering the beautiful location .

Based on reviews, our expectations were quite low, however, we found this motel to be just fine for a few days touring around Manapouri and Te Anau - the important things were clean, bed was comfortable, and there is a small fridge, toaster, kettle and tea/coffee.
The view across the lake is lovely!

NOTHING.
We couldn't stay there as the place was a disgusting moldy room that smelt really bad so we were offered a refund but as yet we still have not received it. We went to another motel and stayed there.
