Whispering Sands Beachfront Motel is situated on Waikanae Beach, just a 10-minute walk from Gisborne city centre. It offers stunning panoramic views across Poverty Bay, with Young Nick's Head and Kaiti Hill standing in the distance. Really nice facility, modern and with fantastic view. I would have stayed longer had I known that. Peaceful but close to town center.

White Heron Motor Lodge is just 2 minutes' drive from the centre of Gisborne and 7 minutes' drive from the beach and the airport. The property offers a range of accommodation types, all with access to unlimited free WiFi. Room was clean, bed comfy, shower and spa very nice. And the lady at reception was very friendly. This is how all accommodations should be.

Ocean Beach is located less than 10 minutes’ drive from a number of Gisborne wineries. The Zephyr Cafe is across the road from the motel. The Tairawhiti Museum is a 9-minute drive away. The whole experience was awesome 👍

Set in a private garden, Tudor Park Motel Spacious with kitchens 1 minute walk to restaurant and shopping centre and Gisborne Hospital offers self-contained accommodation with free WiFi. Located away from the main road, opposite the Gisborne hospital. Perfect retreat from spending hours and hours up at Gizzy Hospital. Staff were really accommodating and caring about our situation. Convenient location perfect for hospital( 2 mins) and same distance to Lytton West shops.

Staff were friendly and allowed us parking with a trailer in their large parking area. Clean and quiet room. Restaurant next door looks good but didn't try. Definitely reccomend BKs to anyone staying in Gisborne.

Gisborne Airport is 17 km away. This was quite lovely. Tarquin is your host and she is a delight. After a big day out, this is the place to relax, with a glass of something, lounging in front of the big heater in the common room. Pool, darts if you choose. Bed is comfy and the shower is hot. Nice.
