Offering a seasonal outdoor pool, El Portal Motel is located in Beatty, the Gateway to Death Valley. Free Wi-Fi access is available in all guest rooms.

The motel is 13.3 km from Death Valley National Park North East Entrance, and 35.7 km from Mud Canyon. The property offers free parking. I very like small town small motels. This motel was in very good location with very good view and comfort to park car just to door. And staff was patiently waiting my late arrival and really happy to complete this task. After this we make small walk around the town and find nice shopping, bars and restaurants. And of course epic gas station.

Located 19 miles from the Hell’s Gate entrance to Death Valley National Park, this pet-friendly motel offers retro American design. Guests of this non-smoking motel are offered coffee, tea, and hot cereal. Unlimited free parking is always available. The front desk lady was so welcoming and nice. The look of the hotel was unique and comforting, the bed was big and the room was even bigger. We really enjoyed this little town. They have wild Burros that walk around the streets and they were so cute and friendly. There is also a cute little local bar called the Happy Burro with a bartender who is super cool. We were treated like locals and I loved that. Will def be back again sometime. FYI don't speed there are cops regulating the street pretty hard.😂
