Featuring traditional Japanese hot springs known as ‘onsen’, these hotels allow you to take a relaxing soak in therapeutic geothermal waters. Traditionally, onsens were located outdoors but a number of hotels also offer indoor facilities for private or shared use. The healing properties of each onsen will vary depending on its location, with ‘kuroyu’ black water known for its positive effects on skin.

We were given a free upgrade to a room with a view of the small lake and the volcano, as well as the forest, and it was so lovely I didn't want to leave. Beautiful and spacious room and excellent value at the price we paid. Tranquil location, great and helpful staff, and good location for touring by car. Nearby Onuma Quasi-National Park is lovely, especially at sunset. Wifi worked well, everything was good, and the hotel has pretty grounds with woodland walks.

It is near to the Onuma National park which we wanted to visit. The staffs are very helpful to our requests. The hotel space is acceptable and onsen is standard. The hotel provided us a peaceful stay and we enjoyed ourselves.

Spacious room with great view of Mt. Komagatake was very nice. The property is also very spacious and the nature is beautifully preserved within. The outdoor onsen bath was amazingly relaxing with a feel of being in a deep forest overlooking a pond.
