Very cozy, not crowded , very nice lake view even though could not see Mt. fuji from the room. Very close to the ropeway and port of ferry. Not far from Kawakushi-go station .Excellent food during teatime and lite dinner.

Amazing view from the hotel and staff we very nice and helpful. Masks at the hotel were delicious and everything was clean and organized. The hotel also provided transportation to and from the train station. Location was convenient and right at a bus stop.

We were picked up from Kawaguchiko train station after asking the tourist office there to call the hotel. The receptionists and all staff were extremely friendly and you felt they genuinely wanted us to feel welcome. There is a lobby, a bar (which we didn't use) and a reading area. The furnishings looked like they were done by an interior designer, very cosy, with an eclectic mix of European paintings in golden frames, views of Mount Fuji, and an Indian wood screen in the restaurant. Yukatas (light Japanese kimono-like robes) were ready on our beds, and from the balcony we could see the lake, although not Mount Fuji because of the foggy and cloudy weather. We had reserved a Japanese dinner in advance (not included, but so worth the added expense) and were overwhelmed by the delicious multi-course meal and its sophisticated presentation in tiny plates of varying colours and shapes. Even with the printed menu provided we were not always sure what we were going to eat, but the helpful staff was always on the ready with explanations. We also took advantage of the private bath on the rooftop which you can rent for 45 minutes for an extra fee, which was absolutely worth it, relaxing in a hot outdoor bath with a view of the starry night sky, juice or champagne included in the price. On the next morning we set our alarm for 6 a.m. and were not disappointed: Mt. Fuji had been invisible the day before, but this morning the view - from our bedroom, from the balcony and even from the shower - was awesome, and we could see the snow-topped perfect cone of the mountain, bathed in the light of the rising morning sun. The breakfast was as excellent as the dinner, both the American and the Japanese option. Since the weather was beautiful we decided to take a later bus back to Tokyo, and the receptionist was extremely helpful in calling the bus company to arrange for a change of ticket.

The stay was special from start to finish. The staff were so warm & welcoming. We stayed in the Executive Suite with open air bath & it was stunning, also with a private garden. We had the Kaiseki meal in a private dining room & it was simply amazing, so much preparation, care & attention, truly beautiful presentation of food & very tasty. Although Mount Fuji was in cloud, it did not spoil our experience, it was worth it for our visit to Fuji Onsenji Yumedono alone.

Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. Both the quality and the presentation of the food was michelin status. Freshest sashimi I've ever tasted. Location is quite secluded the way they have set up thsvplace provides a paradise of zen and peace.. A lot of nature surroundings. About a 20 min walk to oshino hakkai (8 spring ponds) The view of Mount fuji is beautiful!!! You can see it from the street where this ryokan is located and I believe one of the deluxe rooms offers this view. The service was amazing!!! Took the meaming of excellent customer service to a whole new level. Staff all very accommodating and friendly even though we mostly communicated via translation app. Very helpful with trying to figure how to get to airport.
