We loved everything; the 4-bedroom house with a huge kitchen and living area from where we had an amazing view over the river valley. A private garage, a swimming pool and roof terrace (unfortunately, due to weather conditions we couldn't make use of it). A special thank to Anabela, she is the perfect host.

Absolutely amazing location. The apartment is located by the lakeside with views over lakes and mountains. We spent a lot of time on the balcony just soaking it up. The owner allows use of the garden, which includes a dock into the lake - we swam from there every day. It's an easy walk to the nearby shop and a number of restaurants. It's a 2 minute drive to the water park. The apartment is adjoined to the owner's property. He is a lovely person - he couldn't be more helpful, but we really felt like we had the property to ourselves.

The location is fantastic, 3 minutes to the beach with rentals of paddleboards, boats, jetskis, etc., 15 minutes by walk to the minimarket, pharmacy and butcher. Spacious living room with fireplace. Large terrace with grill and view to the dam and mountains around. Garden with fruits you can collect (wine, figs, oranges, apples, lemons, ...). Friendly owner. Good connection by car to one of the big type of attractions in the national park -- waterfalls with natural water pools ("piscinas naturais").

Surrounded by mountains and lagoons, Águas do Gerês Hotel features seasonal outdoor pools integrated into the lush Peneda-Gerês National Park, about 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

The location could not be more central to Vila do Gerês. The hotel is beautiful, the room was huge and the bed was really spacious and comfortable. I slept like a baby and I'm quite fussy about beds and mattresses. The shower/bath was big, the water hot and with good pressure, lovely bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean! The staff was friendly and the breakfast was nice too, European style with some eggs, pastries, fruits, cured meats etc. Would definitely come back again ☺️

Really spacious and comfortable, plus handy for walking to restaurants. The supermarket next door was great for getting supplies and had the best pain au chocolate.

We spent four nights here, and all I can say is that it was perfect. Every small detail was taken care of, from having a laundry basket in the bathroom and a place for your toothbrush to high-quality kitchenware and a decent internet connection—whatever we needed, it was there. This definitely made our experience in Gerês even more enjoyable. Thank you, Manuel and your wife, for being so accommodating and making such a welcoming place.
