My gf and I have stayed at The Bear on multiple occasions to visit her family and each time we are blown away at how incredibly friendly and helpful the staff is to us. They go out of their way to make your stay great and have always helped us keep luggage there safely as we travelled to other parts of Taiwan. Invaluable to us so that we can go to other areas without having to take massive amounts of luggage with total peace of mind that all is 100% safely looked after. Fantastic hotel, great for long and short term stays! I was here last year for almost a month, and it was like being at home. Very professional and friendly Personnel. I just always chose this amazing place because it feels like home. You have a hot spring in Your own bathroom and the views are great, everything is super clean. Breakfast is amazing - great selection of traditional Chinese food and nice afternoon tea snacks.

1. Strategic location - 3 min walking distance from XinBeitou MRT Station, - bus stand exactly opposite hotel to many places of interest, - many convenient places to eat (the nearby KFC served very delicious egg-tart!) - Very helpful staffs at Tourist Information Centre which was located exactly at the Exit of MRT Station 2. Room was nice - loved the whirlpool bathtub with hot-spring water. 3. Breakfast was above average. 4. Very friendly receptionist that spoke reasonably good English.
