Spacious and beautiful room with comfortable futons and even a Super Nintendo with a big screen connected. Private onsens free to use, 24hrs, no reservation of timeslots thankfully, just walk in when the door is open. We got a complimentary bottle of milk on check-in. Cool game room with massage chair, arcade, games, and feet massagers, very welcome after all the walking we had been doing (ohhhh Japan). We really loved this place!

47 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park, BUNA KUSATSU Onsen Inn is a recently renovated property set in Kusatsu and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. The 3-star guest house features quiet street views and is 15 km from Mt. Kusatsu Shirane. The guest house has parking on-site, a hot spring bath and a shared kitchen. It was my first time in Kusatsu and I am really happy that I chose the Buna Hotel. The hotel is spotlessly clean. I love its modern side while still keeping a very traditional Japanese atmosphere. The place is beautiful, very quiet, and the welcome was so polite. I will recommend this hotel to my friends in France, and I truly hope to come back to Kusatsu one day. Arigatō gozaimasu! 🙏✨

This 3-star ryokan offers luggage storage space and a housekeeping service. First thing we noticed was the big room compared to other hotels with a comfortable bed. The staff were excellent when we checked in and when we got our breakfast which was quite nice as well (although felt a bit high in sugar/carbohydrates). The public bath was very nice, the water was very hot compared to other hotels but enjoyable. The hotel is also located directly next to the bus station and above a supermarket and nearby all the sights.

The owner Miki was very kind and helpful, gave us information we need before the trip and on arrival. The room was perfect to me, with great view of another traditional hotel covered with beautiful white snow. We ordered breakfast, which is very delicious and so rich that's good for a brunch 😋 We also tried dinner, very nice and even too much for me. 😆

The room was clean and very spacious! The hotel offers pyjamas and Yukatas for guests. The breakfast was so tasty and the service was incredible! The Onsen is private and available from 3pm to 9am. Overall we loved our experience and would come back anytime.

This 4-star ryokan offers a lift and luggage storage space. The ryokan features family rooms. What an amazing stay in such a historic ryokan. It is the oldest ryokan in Japan, so, as you can expect, there will be some signs of age in the common areas/hallways. However, our rooms were modern and the hospitality and meals were absolutely 5*!! Loved it.

Free WiFi is available at the entire property and JR Shibukawa Train Station is a 15-minute drive away. The best onsen ryokan we have stayed in so far. We have stayed in countless ryokans over the years, but none came close to Oyado Tamaki. Great food, great water, great location, and great staff. All our needs and request were met instantly. It is such an exceptional place, and we cannot wait to go back again.
