Do use bus or taxi if you're carrying luggage, otherwise it's a perfectly fine walking distance from the town. Perfect stay!

The hotel offers a shop with local products, Japanese-style confectionery shop. Totally worth it. Our experience in hakone wouldnt have been the same if we wouldnt have stayed in the hotel. Totally recommeded to get the dinner as there’re not much restaurants near by
