They offer a shuttle to the nearest station and museum which was a great help as the guesthouse is a bit secluded in a quiet neighborhood. There are hiking trails nearby and would love to visit again and explore more of the area around the guesthouse.

Guests will find a shared kitchen for their convenience and a terrace boasting mountain views. Everything was spotless, it was quiet. The kitchen area was convenient. The onsen was lovely to bathe in.

Guests at Hakone Mount View can enjoy rare volcanic hot spring water called nigori-yu, either in a shared open-air bath or at a surcharge in a private one. The hotel offers a shop with local products, Japanese-style confectionery shop. Family onsen rooms are a pleasant surprise to us. It allowed us to shower and onsen as a family. The restaurant staff were all so friendly and kind, and they always prepared baby chair and baby bowl and utensils for our toddler. The location is convenient as there is a combini nearby for snacks - the hotel has its own shop too. The room was spacious, though unlike other Ryokans I've stayed at, the mattresses didn't get put away during the day - no biggie though as we didn't spend much time in the room during the day.

It is true that it is expensive, but it is worth it, we would definitely stay there again.
