Maradona was an excellent host. He went out of his way to make my stay comfortable and give me advice. He picked me up and dropped me off at the old town, saving me a walk whenever I asked. Above and beyond service, thanks! He also helped me take the public bus and spoke to the bus driver so he could tell me where to get off for the bus station. Really helpful! Thanks!

We discovered this hotel through a travel video about Albania and decided to give it a try during our stay in Gjirokastër—and it was absolutely stunning! The spacious family room (with two bedrooms) was perfect for us, and the pool was a wonderful treat to cool off in both the afternoon and morning. The place truly feels like a medieval castle, but with all the modern comforts. Breakfast was generous and delicious, the rooms were spotless, we received complimentary water, and parking was well organized. Our only regret was that we could stay for just one night!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Palorto Inn, set in a beautifully renovated Ottoman house in the old town of Gjirokastër. Everything is brand new, with a spacious, stylish and very comfortable room. The welcome was exceptional: the owner is truly incredible and the staff extremely attentive, kind, and caring. They also helped us solve all our little issues — including a problem we had with our car — and were of great assistance throughout our stay. Breakfast, currently served in a nearby restaurant, was delicious.

The location is unbeatable—tucked in a peaceful and quiet neighborhood, yet just steps away from the old castle, the local market, and directly across from the historic house of the famous writer Ismail Kadare. Walking through the charming streets felt like stepping into a storybook. The villa itself is stunning—comfortable, beautifully decorated, and full of character. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully designed with both modern comfort and traditional charm. We especially loved the balcony, where we enjoyed morning coffee with a view and quiet evenings under the stars. One of the highlights was the amazing breakfast—fresh, delicious, and made with local ingredients. It was the perfect start to every day and truly added to the experience. But what really made this stay unforgettable were the fantastic hosts. Warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful, they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality made us feel not just like guests, but like part of the family. This villa is perfect for anyone looking to relax, explore, and experience the authentic heart of the town. A 10 min walk from the castle. The hospitality was top notch! Mimosa made us feel at home. She even upgraded us to a bigger room on arrival. The view outside is nothing short of incredible. Very highly recommended.
