Vera was super friendly and the bed was comfortable. Just what was needed after a long travel day. Lovely location right opposite the water. Breakfast was an added bonus. It was lovely chatting with Vera over breakfast, whilst also watching the hummingbirds outside the window.

Very nice separate room with Terrace and bath. Almost like a one room apartment. It has a TV and various utilities, Tee Coffee. Very helpful and nice hosts. It's great f you need a ride to the airport.

Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you needed. Great room had a pool table, dart board and tons of room for our athletes to eat and play in. Storage room had an area to wax skis and a boot dryer for our wet ski gear, such a bonus! A great facility for our biathlon team to stay! We will be back!

The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. A welcome food hamper was waiting for us in our room. A clean room with a very comfortable bed. We had a fridge, and a coffee machine as standard, but there was also a free coffee machine (with a variety of different coffees) available to use at any time near reception.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Emily’s house! The house is not only beautiful and very cozy, but also perfectly equipped with everything you could possibly need – and spotlessly clean. We also enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace and simply taking in the peaceful atmosphere. What truly makes Velvet Fern Guesthouse special is the thoughtful and loving attention to detail: everything was personally and carefully prepared for our arrival, including a lovely breakfast and bikes we could use – such a kind touch! Staff & communications were excellent. Could not have been any more helpful. Surroundings are wonderful and breakfast was delicious too
