I recently stayed at Aparthotel Luzern that had an unconventional setup without a traditional reception area. At first, I was skeptical about the absence of a reception, but my concerns were quickly put to rest. This is a great little hotel and is the third time I have stayed here whilst visiting the Willisau Christmas Market. The rooms are situated in an adjacent new modern building and the rooms are large, well-appointed with modern excellent bathrooms. You need to leave this building to get to the actual hotel, but it is a matter of a few metres away. The hotel itself was built in 1907 and is in a more traditional Swiss style. There is a contrast between the rooms and the hotel that reflects the building method and time. Breakfast is of a simple continental style but appropriate.
