Don't let the name put you off. There is a small, tidy butcher shop on the ground floor but most of the multi-story house has been turned into a B&B, including a spacious breakfast room and a lovely outdoor patio with lots of seating and potted plants. The room was tastefully painted with a soothing sage green, and the hallways and common areas are decorated with antique books and various shop paraphernalia, such as an old cash register, to add visual interest. The breakfast was very tasty, with freshly made fruit salad and local cheeses and meats. The hostess is dedicated to the hotel and her guests. Entrance is easy after hours with the lockbox. Outside, there's a small passage that will lead you to the other side of the tracks, so you can reach the lakeside promenade in less than five minutes.

Apartment is ideally located on the first line. Crossing the road (there is almost no traffic in winter, but in summer it will probably be more active) you get directly to the Muralto promenade. Within walking distance (no more than 5 minutes) are: - city pier; - Locarno railway station; - grocery store (until 10 p.m.); Large terrace offers a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding mountains.

Even though the villa is right next to the train station, there is no noise when the windows are closed. A great advantage is the private parking. Great communication with the landlord

Nice apartment with a beautiful view from the balcony. The kitchen was well equipped with anything you may need, and a high chair was also provided. Apartment was clean, and communication with host was easy.
