Cabanas Kitai is ideally located just by the sea, close to the main street and a food and beverage supermarket. Choosing to live in Cabanas Kitai was the right decision. The hosts, Kevin and Lynn, are young and enthusiastic and very familiar with the cultural traditions of Rapa Nui, and special thanks to Kevin for taking us on a detailed tour of Ana Te Pahu and Ana Kakenga. I confirmed the tour project through direct communication with Kevin on the Internet, and I was very satisfied.

Paulina was so lovely and helpful during our stay. Facilities were great and the view from the balcony was beautiful. Also loved being greeted by the neighbour's very sweet dogs every time we returned. Would stay here again if lucky enough to return to Rapa Nui in the future!

Everything!! Location was fantastic and so convenient we could have walked to and from airport if we didn’t have luggage also short walk to cafes, groceries, waterfront & car rentals. The attention to detail, warm and friendly staff. Maria picked us up from the airport and showed us around the area and always made us feel at home. Sebastian was awesome and easy to chat with and basically all the staff were great! Our room overlooked the town and we loved it.

Fidji and Jerome are the most lovely hosts. They helped us arrange airport transport, car rental, restaurant reservations, and day tours - always being so kind and available. The accommodation itself was beautiful, well designed, new, with a great bathroom and shower, and a kitchen opening up to the terrace - all completed by a stunning and relaxing view. 10/10 would recommend!

The property itself is excellent. However it desperately needs air con as u cook inside the pods. The fan was almost non existent in the brutal heat. The staff were excellent but u need translation as English is not spoken. Pick up and drop off to the airport was very welcome. If u want to be close to the action tho, it’s not for you. Half hour walk to town in the heat isn’t doable. You need a car or scooter. It’s off the beaten track. The pool is a bonus but if ur in Easter island surely u won’t be laying around a pool at any time

Tranquility and cleanness, free access (for all guests) to the very spacious and well equipped kitchen, and last but not least, owner and host Beni who will help you with any problem or doubt you may have. This was such a nice hotel. Ivonne, who works there, is so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is amazing - especially the coffee. The hotel is right in the center of town, so very conveniently located to all the restaurants, etc. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and there is a lovely garden area to relax in. This is the best place to stay in this price range. None of the other travelers I talked to on my tours were particularly enamored with their hotels, but I really enjoyed my stay here and wish I could have stayed longer.

The location is also nice: two convenient stores are in walk distance; central town is by 10 mins walk; if you drive there is parking spot available… In general an enjoyable stay!

    We very much enjoyed our stay at Chez Hiva. It is conveniently located for the airport, and the Ahu Tahai moai and the main shopping area of Hanga Roa are both within easy walking distance. We rented the Maíka duplex apartment, which was spacious and comfortably furnished. Our check-in went smoothly and Lorena the host was very helpful throughout our stay. The property is gated, so feels safe, and there is ample roadside parking outside, which is handy if you have a rental car.
