The hotel environment was very good, the staff was very friendly, asked us in advance about the arrival time and method, arranged a pick-up car to pick us up, and had a good breakfast. The location of the hotel is very good, it is very convenient to go out and play, it is easy to find, the courtyard is elegant and quiet, and the stay is very comfortable. Pingyao is a good place to play here

An unforgettable lodging experience! This hostel mesmerized us with its well-preserved historical courtyard, making us feel as if we were living in a museum, steeped in charm and history. We had the pleasure of staying in both the room in the main courtyard and the Yaodong room. Each room was spacious, featuring super large, comfortable beds that ensured a restful night's sleep. The cleanliness and service at the hostel were impeccable. Every area was maintained spotlessly. The staff were warm and always eager to assist, making us feel truly welcomed. I highly recommend this hostel, particularly in the winter. Its perfect blend of historical elegance, modern comfort, and the added beauty of snow make it an unparalleled choice. Looking forward to my next visit!

Our stay at the Water Hotel was absolutely incredible from start to finish. We were met by a driver at the train station to bring us to the hotel and the same was also organised for us to bring us back to the train station the next day all at no extra cost. The hotel is excellently situated in the middle of the ancient city. The room was beautifully decorated and beyond comfortable and clean. The reception staff were so professional and helpful. They helped us buy tickets to access scenic spots around the ancient city. It's a pity we could only stay the one night, we would have loved to stay longer.

This is an awesome place to fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the ancient city of Pingyao! The location is very convenient. Inside the old town, but you can walk from the North gate in 10 minutes or less. That being said, the hotel staff really does speak English, which will make things much easier during your stay. For example, this hotel was very helpful in organizing one-day-trips out of the town, it took literally 5 minutes to coordinate with the hostess the route and start time we needed. We had a spacious room on the second floor with three beds. I think it is quieter than the first floor rooms. There are a lot of guests and visitors, there is still someone running around in the courtyards on the first floor in the evenings, but our upstairs hallway was very quiet. The room has slippers, kettle and cups, drinking water, which is replenished every day, shower gel and shampoo. The bed linen and towels are clean, the room is cleaned every day. There were no questions about water supply and sewerage, everything works normally. There is also a good number of European-style electrical outlets. WiFi was very good as well. The hotel serves a very varied breakfast. There is a Chinese-style breakfast in buffet form. For guests unaccustomed to such dishes, there is an additional menu with an excellent choice. (Actually, this is why the hotel does not include breakfast in the room rate in advance. You can choose different options at different prices.) You will also be served tea and coffee in the format we are used to at breakfast. Very comfortable.
